Julia M. Families - Confirmed reviews ALL

This was a family break for a family of four, we had a family connected room. Our first impression was as pedestrians, the access up a side street and poorly signed posted. We found the only access to be a metal tower with stairs and a lift. The lift was out of order for the entire time we were there and the stairs are steep metal stairs that I would imagine are impossible if you have mobility issues but are incredibly difficult with your luggage. They were also unsanitary, filthy and smelt of urine. A truly offensive welcome. The lobby seemed fine but the staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. There were only three small lifts to cater for what seems to be a very large number of people and they fill up very quickly, especially when people have luggage, resulting in queues and long waits. The room was dated and tired and way too small, especially the bathroom. The toilet was only accessible by stepping into the shore cubicle in order swing the door shut, you can’t access it otherwise as it is behind the door to the bathroom and the bathroom is so incredibly small you can’t stand in bathroom and shut door without stepping in to the shower cubicle. This is ludicrously poor design and incredibly difficult for the user to access the toilet or attain privacy. The bedroom is generally tired again too small, with less than a foot between the end of the bed and wall.. It was difficult to bring your luggage through to wardrobe area and just uncomfortably tight to generally access the far side of the bed.

Some rooms are not refurbished. Changed room as A/C did not work and the new room was still hot. Cafeteria is dirty. Not worth the price paid.

The hotel is quite old and the room that I was given was in a poor shape: it smelled moldy (not just in the bathroom, but also in the room). It was more than 30 degrees Celsius that night, but the A/C did not work. The room was on the 5th floor so I could open the window only by a few centimeters. The room did not even have a trash bin, neither in the room nor in the bathroom. The hotel is poorly located down a dark alley and one has to pass homeless people to access it; it was a bit scary at night. Two positive comments: the room was clean and the WLAN worked properly.

1.hospital lobby not accessible as ride sharing apps do not drop you off the actual hotel lobby.one needs to walk quite far through stairs or elevator. 2.some staff are friendly and helful some are not. those in the restaurant/kitchen are quite rude and refuse to give assistance with refrigerating amd warming foods.--quite different from othe r ibis hotels i have been to. 3.the card key keeps on malfunctioning. during long and tired days i had to keep on coming back to the reception to have the card key reprogrammed

OK for one night but not more since pedestrian access to the hotel is really not good and breakfast is just average.
