I've stayed in Ibis before in other cities, and previously in Paris I chose a random hotel, but this time I purposefully preferred Ibis because of the standard they maintain throughout their chains, and I was not disappointed. In cities like Paris, besides popular chains, it may be a hit-or-miss situation whether you end up at a nicer place or not. The location was not super-favorable, as I was often taking two subways to reach to some monuments, but a connection from within the subway stop didn't bother me, and of course Google Maps helped a lot. The hotel itself was clean, the service was very good, and in spite of the New Year's additional load of guests, the staff managed it well. I did enjoy the prompt service, e.g., there was a stain in one of our bathroom wash-basins, I informed the reception upon check-in and they tried to accommodate us, but due to the shortage of room for the New Year's season, they couldn't, and the cleaning staff mentioned that it can't be removed by just washing it, however, it didn't bother us. The other thing that I questioned was the pedestrian's entrance. For cars, I assume there was a better way, but for pedestrians, the location on the first time was a bit confusing to find, and the staircase next to the street looked shabby, and that particular elevator in the street didn't work, so all pedestrian guests were climbing the flight of stairs. I'm assuming that the hotel would fix it, or may produce another way, however, for my short 2-night stay, it didn't really bother me. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The quality of the room, and the walkways, and the hotel building in itself didn't appear like it needed renovation, etc., which often happens to places of such a price range. It all appeared to be well taken care of. Therefore, I'm glad with the experience.

Room was tiny and hotel is so dated. Not value for money. Would never stay there again. I would class this hotel as a 2 Star at best.
