The hotel is quite old and needs a complete renovation; it doesn't even look like a Mercure, but rather a much lower-category hotel. There are also people living in the building who make the experience even more unpleasant.

Second time at this hotel. Convenient for the beach, and a fairly short taxi ride to Shopping Recife and the airport. The building itself would benefit from a refurb, lino flooring in the corridor is bubbling up, paintwork should be redone, the lifts are old-fashioned and clunky. The restaurant could use a makeover. The girls at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant staff were polite and friendly also.

An ok location one block behind the beach. On a higher floor you will be able to see the beach. If not what a horrible view! The reception needs to be updated and more welcoming. I stayed on the 16th floor with a room that has been painted but desperately needs modernization! The floor in the bedroom was pealing off and the bathroom felt like prehistoric! Outside my door to the room was a hole in the wall left open?! Why not at least cover up what you can. The common area to my room was also horrible and not welcoming! Good location as by the beach but that’s it! Accor Group need to step up in Recife. The Novotel is ok but still not there either!

Hotel was well located, very clean and with good service, however, the hotel was not up to the standard of the mercure brand. While renovations were ongoing, the room was old with fixtures falling apart. The hotel is similar to the ibis budget brand, but older and with larger rooms.
