I truly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Knowing the rich history behind the property makes it a must-see destination. The bar is beautiful, and one of the highlights was listening to Maestro Wachy Meléndez perform, it added a special touch to the experience. Breakfast in the garden was also lovely, with a wide variety of food options to choose from. The service reflects the quality of Colombia is known for, above to the level of professionalism seen in other countries. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with Restaurant 1621. The quality of the food did not meet expectations—the dishes arrived cold, and wines were unavailable. Given the reputation of the restaurant, I was expecting a much higher standard.

Very friendly and attentive staff, particularly barman and waiters in Coro bar. Good breakfast in a lovely setting. The rooms were designed and built in early 1990's I believe and by today's standards appear small, principally the bathrooms. While clean and well maintained the open design creates a lack of privacy.

My daughter made the right decision to choose the Sofitel Clara hotel as the wedding venue. All the friends and family enjoyed the amenities and top notch cuisine of the hotel. The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and venue were espectacular!! Thanks guys. Service was great and we were even willing to give extra tips. Our local friends from Cartagena actually said they were impressed with the hotel and the great food. Definitely it is worth to pay some extra to enjoy this great hotel
