spent a week in the hotel. We were upgraded which was much appreciated. What we really appreciate is being remembered by the staff especially Eliza and Joseph in the restaurant.

Decided we would come through to Auckland for a night instead of Hamilton, and booked the room at 12.30pm, had said we’d be there around 4pm. I’m an Accor Platinum Member, but got no upgrade even though online i could see multiple superior rooms available, no welcome amenity (it did arrive later). The room was very noisy on the city side, thought they would have had triple glazing when they refurbished this place but could hear all the loud cars and party-goers most of the night. Not sure if we’ll stay again

Your continued support of the Accor network is genuinely valued, which is why I’m disappointed to read that you did not feel appropriately recognised during your stay. While upgrades are always subject to availability on arrival, I completely understand how it can be frustrating to see room types available online and not be offered one. We will review this internally to ensure our Platinum recognition processes are being applied correctly and consistently. I also apologise for the delay with your welcome amenity. That should be seamless and in place ahead of your arrival. I appreciate you noting that it did eventually arrive, however the timing clearly fell short of expectations. Regarding the noise, being on the city side can occasionally mean exposure to late-night activity, particularly on weekends. While our refurbishment included acoustic improvements, I understand that this did not prevent disruption on this occasion. Should you choose to stay with us again, we would be more than happy to prioritise a quieter aspect of the hotel for you. It is encouraging to see your positive comments regarding cleanliness, breakfast, the bar, and our team, and I’m grateful you acknowledged those areas. Room 1020. Excellent facilities and service, except for unresolved start/stop mechanical noise issue coming through the bedroom wall which hampered sleep. This was traced to a noisy staff lift mechanism, which would start and stop through most of the night. I was offered a downgrade from the suite to a regular room, which was not acceptable as I needed the suite facilities. I was then given 2 drinks vouchers, which appears to have been the limit of the authority of the staff to deal with the issue. Not a great outcome, and poor sleep. I love the room and hotel, staff try hard, but hate the noise.

Our stay at Mövenpick Hotel Auckland was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city with beautiful harbour views, yet it still felt calm and comfortable. The rooms were modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with that perfect balance of luxury and warmth. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the little touches throughout the room made the stay feel extra special. The team truly stood out, friendly, professional, and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Every interaction felt genuine and welcoming. And of course, the signature chocolate hour was such a fun and memorable highlight! Overall, a fantastic experience and I would happily recommend Mövenpick Auckland to anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable city stay.

Only one night sadly this time. We held an event last time which went really well. One small thing my colleague and I both noticed was when we went to have a shower and turned on the tap the shower was pointed straight out and wet us and floor. should be pointed down.
