I booked just as a quick stop-over, so wanted something at a good price. For the money we paid I was really impressed. The room was spotless with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was also good value for money - not a huge choice, but what we had was lovely and for €6 once again, great value. The staff were very helpful and effecient.

Good Value for Money

Hotel is somewhat isolated, location-wise, but not inconvenient. Typical Ibis accommodations, no frills, but clean and reasonably comfortable. They really need to rethink the design of their bathrooms, though. It's literally impossible to take a shower without getting water on the bathroom floor. Employees were engaged and helpful. The breakfast attendant ladies were especially kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet itself is sufficient, but offers no variety from day to day -- always the exact, same items. Same with the hotel restaurant -- extremely limited menu of 5-6 items only. On the plus side, food service is available 24/7, and the breakfast buffet is available an incredible eight (8) hours daily, from 04:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. I've never seen such a lengthy breakfast service at any other hotel, anywhere.

Mediocre stay, poor value for money

The receptionist made a mistake and I was checked in under the wrong name initially. Noone noticed until I realised the wrong name was on my key card. The airconditioning did not work and the fan that I was offered was not a sufficient solution. It was far too hot in the room and the night was uncomfortable and I hardly got any sleep before my flight. The food options at night were sparse. Very kind waitress though. The boiled eggs at breakfast were off! The bed, however, was lovely. All in all, I think that 70-80 euros for a stay like this is ridiculous. I will not be returning.

We arrived from Canada at 1 am. We were unable to book a wheelchair accessible room using the discounts available for other travellers, and had to contact the hotel directly, eliminating any discounts. My disabled partner got stuck in the shower where the pull down chair did not allow an easy transfer as he is not weight baring. We have 3 more Ibis bookings in Sevilla, Madrid and 4 nights in Paris and are now worried about the shower.

Ideal stop for Faro Airport

Probably the best hotel serving Faro Airport and easy to access, with plenty of parking and a warm welcome. The rooms are very small, but adequate and clean. While we were there, the swimming pool was out of use because of maintenance, but there was plenty of seating available outside, and we were able to relax together over drinks before supper. As there were 6 of us, they had given us 3 rooms all close together, which was thoughtful. The evening meal was very basic. The building is in need of renovation, especially the ground-floor washrooms but, above all, the staff were kind, attentive and considerate. Generally, a good value stop-over.

Handy for airport and town

Excellent hotel with friendly, knowledgable staff. Room and bed excellent too. My only gripe is that in the winter / early spring the air conditioning is controlled central. Without the air con on it was about 30 in the room, with it on it was about 40 although the thermostat was set to 10! Personally I like a cool bedroom at about 16. I had to sleep with the window open!

Typical good but older style Ibis

AtCheshire TripAdvisor review

Good efficient check-in, rooms are definitely on the small side, but everything clean and in working order. Modern revamped bathroom (not a pod) with a good walk in shower. Nice outdoor area and smallish pool. Breakfast was typical Ibis, but good value for money, only gripe was they need something larger then a litre bottle for the fresh orange juice as the waitress was constantly having to go off and refill it. Small bar for drinks and snacks, however the pizza was like eating cardboard and was the size of a side plate, certainly not worth €9. Good outdoor car park for those that require it. Walking distance into both Faro and Montenegro. Personally we prefer Montenegro as it is definitely a locals town with not many tourists. Overall a good stay and would happily stay here again.

This hotel lacks only one thing - two more stars to reach ****. The best ibis from Porto and Lisboa. Ariana from the smile team is very friendly. Easy accessible from the main road. Free parking available. Small comment: please serve guests outside near the pool.

Friendly staff but don't expect your requests to be accepted. Nice IBIS hotel but always a passing hotel. Very poor wifi in the 3th floor. Frugal breakfast, taking advantage of no option nearby. Special recognition for Carla, the member staff, unsurpassed in her attention and work to make sure everything was ok.
