I chose this hotel because it was near the airport. It is like any Ibis around the world, same decoration, same rooms. The room and hotel was lovely and clean. It has a beautiful pool and towels are available if you want to take a dip. The team ( reception, bar, breakfast) were all great, very welcoming and nice. Making an effort to speak English or Spanish when people didn’t speak Portuguese. The only negatives I could see were the location, building site near by, rather neglected area and the mosquitoes!!!! I have never been eaten alive like this and I have slept in the Jungle in Asia. It was terrible, outiside there were clouds of them and at reception and in the restaurant area it was crazy. But that is nature I suppose.

Location is a minus. It’s a “neither nor”, neither next to the airport nor next to Faro. The place was full with mosquitos but little seen effort to do something about it. Incredibly loud. We could hear doors slamming in the hallway until midnight. In the bathroom only two towels + feet towel were available. No hand towels. Both bedside lamps were not working. How can you ask for around 110-130€ a night for this? This is a pretty weak hotel… Most definitely will not stay there again.

Even though hotel is only 3km away from the airport they charge 17 euro for the transfer, more than you need to pay for taxi if you stay in the city center.

Hotel clean and modern decor some 8 minutes from airport. Parking good and reception staff efficient but little eye contact. As we were checked in online surprised they again requested at checkin. Hotel seemed moderately busy but in fact near full as we discovered next morning! Room overlooking car park pleasant and comfortable BUT beware the shower pan floor is lethal with poor grip! We had breakfast at around 0930. The buffet table was very impoverished with little food or crockery or cutlery! It had been really decimated by earlier guests! There was only one staff member servicing the area …..both restocking and cleaning tables! After commenting things improved slightly …..breakfast at the Ibis chain has always been its hallmark for us …..so disappointing After breakfast on returning to our room the floor by reception was very wet with a leak from the ceiling area. It wasn’t obvious due light coloured floor and inadequately closed off as affected area had spread as nothing to catch dripping water. Sadly I had a pretty nasty fall landing heavily on my right hip and elbow resulting in a very bad cut to my lower arm! Staff came an offered help but this was an accident waiting to happen. Incident reported to manager who said immediate safety action would be taken.

Does the job, no more than that.

Fairly convenient (not at the airport and not in the town either) but 5 min Uber from both. Pretty expensive spot for a nights sleep and shower - I felt we were a captive audience and paid over the odds. Room OK - the first room we were given smelled horribly of air freshener which was a thinly veiled attempt to mask drain smell on ground floor. We moved to a 1st floor room which was ok but a bit tired. An ok option when there is nothing else around. Next time I’d book a later flight (even if more expensive) so that we didn’t have to waste money on an overnight hotel that cost more than the beach front places we enjoyed for our holiday.
