Central location, compact rooms.

Very welcoming staff and a lovely vibe in the reception/bar area. The room was very compact to say the least - very clever use of space with a very modern feel. Bathroom was equally compact, very clean, shower ok. Both the bedroom and bathroom have opening windows. We kept the bedroom window closed to keep the noise (and chill) out, with ventilation via the bathroom window as there was a 5cm gap at the base of the bathroom door. Useful if you are just staying one night for a gig/theatre. It was surprising quiet on a Thursday night for a room at the front of the hotel.

I love staying at the ibis hotel and especially in the Birmingham New Street Thank you very much for the attention of Reception and waiter Raju at the location. It is a great advantage that it is close to the center and next to the train station.

Unbelievably noisy

Unbelievably noisy. The open air nightclub underneath went on until 0330. The reception staff insisted that there was nothing they could do. The room was ok, clean, good shower but the noise was inescapable. Unless you are intending to stay out clubbing until 0330, I’d give this a miss

The hotel is just behind New St station in china town. Pretty standard as you would expect from an Ibis although the room I had was on the small side. The toilet in my bathroom kept running and my key card repeatedly failed to work with multiple visits to reception as a result. Hence only three stars. The hotel is on a commercial district and whilst I got a good nights sleep on the first two nights, the vibrations from a nearby venue from 8pm to the early hours meant no sleep on the Friday. Clearly not the hotels fault but if your a light sleeper the I would avoid staying Fri/Sat nights.

RAJU was a delight and a pleasure to meet. Catering towards my every need and I really appreciate the way his standard of customer service was. Was very helpful and professional, and was able to put a smile on my face during Breakfast Service. Always a pleasure to stay at IBIS, but RAJU really put the Cherry on top of the cake for me, and I will definitely be visiting again and staying at IBIS just because of his amazing personality and customer service. What a great and wonderful person and it was a pleasure having a good chat and conversation with him, a man of Wisdom and good vibes. Thank you very much!!!!
