The Novotel provided a great space for recent team meeting. The room was spacious, light and perfect for the environment we needed. Tandy and everyone in the sales team were incredibly helpful and ensured the day ran smoothly. The catering service was excellent. Highly recommend this venue.

A 21st Birthday in Birmingham

I took my girlfriend to Birmingham for a weekend to celebrate her 21st birthday and chose to stay in the Novotel. The members of staff were very kind and attentive to us straight away and due to me mentioning whilst booking that it was her birthday, they generously upgraded us to an executive suite with no additional charges. The room was spacious, clean and very accommodating. They organised a bottle of Rose, a box of chocolates, balloons, a card and some rose petals in the room in preparation for our arrival. The food downstairs was also tasty, very fast and well organised service and I would certainly stay here again if i am to go to Birmingham again in the future.

Grubby and outdated room

I stayed in Room 629 and it was grubby and very outdated. I had stains all over the carpet, skirting boards were filthy and the shower curtain was hanging on by only 2 hooks. Carpet and walls on the landing were stained and filthy as well. Problem at check in when they wanted to charge me for a prepaid booking too and no apology for the mistake. Breakfast was good and the ground floor was more modern but no excuse for the shabby state of the room.

The afternoon tea was lovely but the waiter was the best of all. The made our experience incredible, she was so lovely, discreet , helpful. Such a shame I don't know her name but she was black , very short hair, glasses . Please pass this compliment to her on my behalf she's a credit to your hotel . I spent some lovely time with my friend and nobody rushed us to leave it was truly amazing .

I did have to change rooms about three times due to the water quality being not the best but the staff were spectacular and kept transfering me till I had a room I was satisfied with which I amd very grateful for. The staff were so helpful, genuinely people that care so much about the customer I definitely would stay here again
