Don’t have the breakfast

We chose the novotel we thought it would be the best of those on the airport. Although the room was clean , quiet and well appointed the breakfast was dreadful. In the hot food selection the scrambled eggs and mushrooms were cold , the fried eggs looked like rubber. There was no healthy cereal and the pastries were hard and tasteless. The only brown bread was beetroot flavoured and cold in the middle ie out of freezer. There was a shortage of cups and dishes despite only 6 people in the restaurant. On complaining at checkout I was told any complaint was with booking .com rather than the hotel.

We are staying for one night before we fly to Tenerife tomorrow. We have had a wonderful evening in the restaurant. We were served by a gentleman called Mukesh who made our dining experience very pleasant. He had a big smile on his face and took the time to talk to us. A credit to the establishment. The food was also delicious and the rooms very clean and modern. Would definitely stay here again.

It was a very fancy experience and the staff had a great mood especially Abdullah. The food tasted amazing and it was good to try something new. I enjoyed the chocolate brownie and caramel ice cream.I am so glad that my mum took me to this hotel. Written by Rohan age 10.

We had an excellent meal at Novotel, Birmingham Airport but especially Abdullah our waiter who was exceptional. 10/10 service and food. We weren’t sure what to expect arriving quite late but we were not disappointed at all, in fact it boosted the start of our holiday. Highly recommend 😎

We arrived at 3 for check in but when we went to our adjoining rooms, 1 wasn’t event cleaned and had the bedsheets thrown everywhere and the other smelt so bad and had crisps all over the carpet. We obviously complained and was offered 2 rooms nowhere near each other which wasn’t acceptable to us as we are a family and wanted to be together. We had to wait 2 hours to be placed in clean rooms adjoining and offered a free drink to apologise. I was appalled after spending £300 for 1 nights stay. To top it off the beds were so uncomfortable so I had no sleep anyway, I would have slept better on the chairs in the airport. Absolutely shocking to be offered a free drink in compensation so wouldn’t return here again.
