Position of this hotel makes it very special. Secluded yet close to all transport. A very generous attitude and wonderful staff culture. Restaurant (evening meal and breakfasts) and decor superb. Five-star without any doubt!

The location of this hotel is excellent. Close to the train/bus/tram depot but also far enough away to feel like you have never seen a wheeled vehicle. As most MGallery hotels it has a wonderful atmosphere and exudes old style hospitality. Although apparently a four star MGallery it presents more like a five star. We were upgraded due to Accor status and the room was beautiful overlooking the canal, affording many opportunities for watching the people and the water traffic. It has its own quay area so for those looking for water taxis it is convenient. Walking distance to everything and surrounded by numerous bars and restaurants. Staff were kind courteous and helpful. The hidden housekeeping staff are to be commended for the standard of the room and the turndown service. With four sets of windows the curtains were opened and closed in such a suitable manner. A little thing but it all adds to the experience. Breakfast was good and range was more than adequate. They appear to be used by one of the major cruise companies so sometimes breakfast is busy with the cruise passengers who can be loud and lack some manners. Not the fault of the hotel. With the sun shining on us for our four night stay this hotel felt like a haven.

Private Feedback: we loved your hotel and its location. And for the most part, we had a good experience with the staff. The check in staff was outstanding as they were every morning. Ivan, at night, seemed to be having a bad day when I arrived at the counter and I decided to walk away rather than cause a scene due to his attitude. Your server at dinner was not the nicest at the start but warmed up as the night went on. Seemed to be over reservations which we made on Fork but he did not seem to know that info. May be something to look into. All and all, we would and most likely will come back.

Dinner in the evening was affected as a senior manager was dining (we were informed by staff), and this seemed to affect the normal flow of service to the other tables. We saw two tables leave due to the wait. We tried to make light of this, bit the food was disappointing when it arrived, and the general ambience and setting of the restaurant could be improved.
