Our stay at Novotel Venice was extremely disappointing from check‑in to check‑out. As Accor Plus members, we expected the standard benefits, yet staff appeared to have no understanding of the program. We were not offered any of the usual inclusions such as complimentary breakfast, room upgrade, beverage vouchers, restaurant discounts, or even a coffee machine in the room. Check‑in was also poorly managed. Despite around six staff members being present, only two were actually serving guests, resulting in an unnecessary wait. Although the hotel promotes itself as family‑friendly, the experience did not reflect this. The restaurant does not open until 7:30pm, which is far too late for families with young children. There were very few dining alternatives nearby, so we requested room service — only to be told that room service also does not operate until 7:30pm. The hotel app was not functioning, and staff were unable to provide accurate information when asked. Overall, the lack of service, poor communication, and failure to deliver Accor Plus benefits made this stay extremely disappointing.

A great overall experience. I understand upselling, but being asked twice if I wanted to have lobster with my pasta for only €22 extra was once too often. I then had to point out I didn’t have cutlery when my food arrived.. Minor details but these are the difference between an 8 and a 10. I will come back next time I’m in Venice 😊👍

Staff were lovely but it did not have the feel or quality you would expect of a 4* Novotel. Very busy with groups who seemed to dominate everything. Room fairly basic. Our stay was ok but we expected a little better.
