We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is a little bit far from the centre of Venice Mestre, but you can easily reach the hotel with a bus from the central station within 15 minutes. Room was very spacious and clean. Staff was very nice and attentive. Special thanks to Michael from the reception. :) Just one thing - outside pool and fitness were closed. The rules with Covid are a little bit more strict in compare with other hotel chains. We stayed in Marriott Hotels in the other cities in Italy and they had pools and fitness centers open already. I think it is not neccesary to keep these facilities closed anymore.

Dear, Were very disappointed with our stay. We booked the hotel for the swimming pool and fitness area, this hotel is far away from everything but still wanted something with swimming pool and fitness, bar and restaurant. Unfortunately we could not make use of it despite having paid for it. With late check-in at 10 pm we could not get anything anymore, we had a late flight. We asked how for pool and fitness we were told it was closed and the guy claimed it is on the internet, I checked every site nowhere does it say restaurant, pool and gym are closed. We had to go to Jesolo beach where the swimming pool on the beach at hotel Marina was open. The breakfast was sad little variety if you stay there for 9 days, also a long wait for bread etc ... if there was a bit more people. Lady without curls very unfriendly at 10 am could not have any more coffee and for another glass of water I had to beg for her to open the cupboard. We have to wait for everything so we lose time for dinner, then breakfast can take a little longer, I think. We do this in IBIS budget Belgium anyway. Mrs in the evening at the bar very friendly what you can not say about the gentleman who served us our last days. Bar does not open until 7 pm, which is late to drink an aperitif, you can put wine or Prosecco in your machine, we also do this in the hotel. Fortunately, satisfied with the room, cleanliness and beds BUT his money was not worth to sit so far. I have been coming to Venice Mestre for 14 years and I could have slept much cheaper without a restaurant and swimming pool in the center. With best regards, Nadia H.

Dank property, dank room. No food at check-in but a couple of day-old sandwiches in an old cooler to choose from. Even the vending machines were charging 4 for a can of coke. Not great, would not stay here again.

Depressing experience in a COVID

We book the hotel as the base for a two day trip to Venice. Other than the short distance to Venice, we wanted to enjoy the pool, but discoverd to our suprise that it was closed due to COVID-precautions. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned on the website. We would not have booked the hotel if we had known that. It would have been an act of fairness to mention it. While the staff was friendly, helpful and responsive, the hotel atmosphere was rather depressing with most amenities closed and few guests visible. At the end, our stay was double charged - which was another nuisance, albeit it was corrected rapidly after my intervention. In sum, too much went wrong this time.

The staff is friendly but the whole infrastructure is getting old and not well maintained (broken furniture, Humidity stains on the walls...). No prior information regarding the COVID-19 measures, which are very specific to this hotel: closed swimming pool, no cleaning of the room, not even a bottle of water in the minibar, etc. The breakfast was very limited, no fresh fruit, old bread. Worst experience ever for a Novotel and certainly not up to a 4-star hotel.

We were unpleasantly surprised with the swimming pool being closed due to Covid-19 measurements. Of course no problem at all, but we would have liked to be informed before booking. We ended up staying just one night instead of the initial 3. Also the breakfast was not what we are used to, also due to Covid-19.

This hotel is in a very good location . 3ven better than we thought when we booked it as the connection to Venice city centre is very good and no inconvenience at all. Ample parking and good food and friendly service all accounts to a good experience. Had not for Covid the pool and gym would have been a great addition. The only reservation which I believe is not to ignore is the less pro-activeness of the management in dealing with long delays in serving breakfast. Even after 4 days of continuous queues to get breakfast- sometimes standing for more than 40 minutes each morning - managemnt did not sufficiently reacted to improve the situation. There was only one poor staff trying to serve ALL the guests as a super man. This was ridiculous to continue till we left after experiencing this 4 days. Some guests just left without taking breakfast since they gonna miss planned tours and other commitments. Hope you can improve on this. Apart from this pleasant experience ✨

Chose this Novotel because of its location and the pool. The pool was closed despite it being listed open on the website. No alternative was offered. When asked for an alternative, reception told us they would look it up. They forgot. When reminded, they came up with a name of a nearby pool that I could have googled myself and nothing else. Major disappointed from Novotel brand. Location is as you can see on the map. Close to the highway, bus stop to Venezia proper around the corner, not a pedestrian environment though.

We booked hotel mainly because of price (card bienvienue) and swimming pool. But when we arrive we were informed swimming pool was not able to use. I would appreciate to know it prior booking to have chance to decide as other hotels have this information mentioned on their website. I know the regulations now tells some measures but we stay now in Lago di Garda and all outdoor swimming pools are open. Indoor some of them are closed or with limited access with number of visitors. We went to Venice by bus and receptionist informed us its 10 minutes walk to bus station bus nr. 2 but honestly it was almost 20 minutes and outside 37 degrees. I was considering to go by car or taxi because I traveled with 10 years old kid.. but she told me its 10 minutes so we went to take bus. Breakfast to the room was nice. Also staff was kind even we got not very realistic information about distance to bus.

In total we spent 3 nights. Easy to access hotel. Not far away from Venice (15 min by bus). Nice, spacious rooms. Very kind and helpful staff at the reception desk. One definitively negative point: only average breakfast (not at usual Novotel standard) and very unpleasant servers.

All seems good, only one point needs to be improved: The spoon and coffee machine is not "clean". Not clean does not mean that they are dirty, just some water stain and thermonatrite. In addition, it is not close to Venice island. :)

I have stayed at numerous Novotel Hotels in the past 4 years all over Europe. I cannot express how wonderful the service has been. In the 4 past years and 20+ hotels the service overall by the Hotel Staffs and the Head Office has been very commendable. Just a tremendous experience.
