The hotel is looking very old and tired now, needs a complete overhaul. Went to check in to be told they don’t have aircon, that should be a “please be aware” point on the site when you’re booking it as it’s something you expect these days. So none of us hardly slept, they had provided basically a desk top fan, we all know what help they are!!! Proximity to the cruise terminals and Southampton centre are really good but apart from that the hotel is very dated. Certainly not worth the price paid, that’s for sure. I’m sure it’s no better that the IBIS ones next door and they are about half the price.

Family of 4 with 2 x 13 yr olds. The sofa bed was a double sofa bed which was for both of them to share. It was very small, it did not look the size of a double bed and the bed in my parents' room which was an executive room that sleeps 3 people had a sofa bed the same size? It begs the question, why are exec rooms restricted to 3 people when the family room for 4 was no different in terms of sleeping arrangements? Also, by now I would have thought that the hotel would have invested in air conditioning. The small fan had limited impact!
