Location of this hotel is perfect, staff are super friendly and accommodating. They interacted with my 3 year old and gave her sweets and high fives, nothing was too much trouble, thank you Rosa and Ramona!! Our room was a triple room, very spacious and spotlessly clean, we had a great view over toward the grand place. Overall a brilliant stay in a beautiful city, thank you again.

This was a solo trip for me. Here is my review: The mattress in my first room was horrible. It had an indentation on both sides, (kind of like when somebody sleeps in the same spot for many years). So it was impossible to sleep in the middle as that part was elevated.It was hard to get comfortable. I asked to switch rooms and while the mattress in that room was a little better, it did slant towards the top corner a bit. Other than the horrifyingly uncomfortable mattress, the room also had paint chips and looked like it needed an update. Or at least a fresh coat of paint. Despite all of this, the location is actually excellent and the hotel itself is nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful. If they get new mattress mattresses, I would consider staying again for sure. The fact that it’s located right by the train station is a huge bonus.

Horrible mattresses

The location is perfect. Staff are friendly. But the mattress is horrible. I’m not picky with mattresses but this was horrid. I had to change rooms because the mattress in the first room was dented so badly (body indent). The mattress in the second room was slightly better but not by much as it did slant to one side. I can’t believe how bad the mattresses are!! Clearly they need to be replaced. Also the room is showing its age. Chipped paint on the walls etc. I wouldn’t return to this hotel unfortunately. It’s a shame though because as I said the location is fantastic.

The water supply was cut off during the day for two consecutive days without notice or any form of communication. When I asked the manager, he blamed the maintenance team for not informing him and that he wasn’t aware that maintenance people were working on the hotel pipes. I don’t know how a manager is unaware of who has access to a hotel he is managing. That is a security breach. This is mediocre to say the least. If a hotel cannot offer the basic contractual amenities to their guests, you should not be operating.
