For Kunstenfestivaldesarts, we needed to be primarily in Sint-Josse-ten-Noode, for the KVS, Théâtre National, Les Halles de Schaerbeek and Théâtre Océan Nord. Hotel Siru was ideally located for this. It is also within walking distance of Bruxelles-Nord station, although we came by car this time. We had a pre-renovation room on the second floor. It showed its age, but it was spacious and had a good shower. Rental bikes are aplenty all around the hotel. But Hotel Siru's main feature actually belongs to neighbouring Hotel des Colonies, as long as Siru's renovation lasts: a huge foyer, done up in a kind of Disneyworld-meets-Classicism style you will only find in Brussels. See my pictures, and book before it is too late, because this foyer will certainly not survive the renovation!

I stayed in the 6th floor. There was a heavy chemical smell. I wanted to change my room but that also was not possible. AC was not working, too.
