I regularly stay in Brussels for work. This was my first time at this Novotel and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s in a great location, and the room was spacious and quiet.

Dear Sir or Madam, I recently stayed at your hotel, Novotel Brussels City Centre, from 16 March to 20 March, and I would like to share my feedback following your request regarding my experience. I have previously stayed several times at your Novotel property in Dubai Al Barsha, where I had very positive experiences, particularly in terms of room quality and cleanliness. Unfortunately, my recent stay in Brussels did not meet the same standards. Firstly, the toilet area, which is separated from the bathroom, was both poorly lit and significantly smaller than expected. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable unpleasant odor in this area, which persisted throughout my stay despite daily housekeeping. It appeared that cleaning efforts were limited mainly to changing bed linens, and the toilet area was not adequately addressed. Additionally, I encountered insects in the toilet area on two separate nights during my four night stay. Secondly, the room ventilation was insufficient. The air quality in the room was quite poor, and it caused discomfort, including nasal congestion during the night. Regarding breakfast, while the overall selection met expectations, there were frequent shortages of items, and guests had to repeatedly inform the staff to replenish them. Furthermore, I was surprised by the lack of basic amenities. Considering that this is a four star hotel, and comparing with your Dubai property where items such as slippers, bathrobes, and personal care kits are standard, it was disappointing that even slippers were only available at an additional cost. Overall, this experience did not meet my expectations in terms of quality and value for money. Unfortunately, based on this stay, I would not prefer to stay at this particular property again, nor would I recommend it. I hope this feedback will be helpful in improving your service standards. We spent three nights at this Novotel in March 2026. The hotel was well located in the Saint Catherine area of the city with easy walking to the restaurants and bars in this part of town and only about five minutes walk to the Grand Place. Metro stations are also conveniently located for excursions further afield. The hotel is bright and modern and all the staff were friendly and helpful with excellent English. We didn't dine in the restaurant or use the hotel bar (local restaurants and bars being so handy) but the breakfast selection was excellent. Our room was comfortable and clean with the slight irritation of the air conditioning not being very effective (like so many other hotels!) but at least it was possible to open the window (unlike many other hotels!). We would certainly consider staying here again when visiting Brussels.
