This hotel survives solely because of its location. While the attractions are within walking distance and the rooms are relatively spacious, everything else falls well below expectations. The rooms are outdated, the breakfast is shockingly poor for the price, and the selection is almost non-existent. Serving the same limited food every day, with scrambled eggs and boiled eggs as the only hot options, is simply unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. The so-called wellness area is little more than a marketing gimmick. A 90 cm deep pool is not a swimming pool; it's a large puddle. The two infrared saunas feel like they exist only so the hotel can advertise spa facilities. To make matters worse, even basic toiletries are not provided in the room and must be requested from reception, which further reinforces the impression that management is focused on cost-cutting rather than guest comfort. Another disappointing experience was the lack of transparency regarding additional charges. Before arrival, I contacted the hotel to ask about adding a second guest to my reservation. I was informed by email that the "additional guest supplement would be €112 for the stay," which I reasonably understood to be the total charge for the additional guest. However, upon arrival, I was asked to pay an additional €112 on top of that amount for breakfast, bringing the total to €224. Had this been clearly communicated in advance, there would have been no issue, but the wording was misleading and created unnecessary confusion. Having previously stayed at the Novotel Luxembourg Centre, the difference was striking. That hotel is miles ahead in virtually every aspect, from the quality of the rooms to the breakfast and overall guest experience. Based on that experience, I expected a similar standard here, but this hotel in Brussels fell far short of those expectations. Overall, this was a deeply disappointing stay and a poor value for money. I would definitely not return and cannot recommend it.

Regarding the additional guest charges, as explained to you privately, there was indeed a misunderstanding at check-in and we have arranged the corresponding refund. Regarding breakfast, we are disappointed that the selection did not meet your expectations. Our breakfast is regularly praised by our guests for its variety and offers a wide selection of both hot and cold items, including bacon, sausages, hash browns, mushrooms, baked tomatoes, beans, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs, together with our other breakfast options. As for our wellness area, our swimming pool is deliberately designed with a shallow depth and is particularly suited to our many families and younger guests. We are also proud to offer a pool and wellness facilities, as these are an added service that only a limited number of hotels in Brussels can provide. We nevertheless appreciate your feedback and hope that, despite your overall impression, you enjoyed our central location and the spaciousness of our rooms. We stayed a total of three nights here and would definitely do it again. The location is great. It is located on a street that is not that busy but it is so close to all the restaurants and shops. My kids loved the pool and we went in it every day. The room was very nice and spacious and the staff was very helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be that the mattress was really hard. Overall would recommend!

It was the second time I’d stayed here and enjoyed it greatly. The pool is a little shallow to swim properly unfortunately but it’s nice for a dip at least.

The lift was not working, resulting in 5 min waiting time each time we had to go up or down. The restaurant's food was terrible and the first thing we were told was that the restaurant stopped serving at 9:30PM. We entered the restaurant area a 9:08PM and were then told that the kitchen was closed. They eventually agreed to serve us; grudgingly. I am writing this review because I use the hotel regularly and find it to be well below standards compared to the usual good experience I have at Novotels (in Brussels near Ste Catherine, in Luxembourg Kirhcberg).

Great, convenient location. Helpful and friendly staff. Large room set up as requested. The downsides were lack of amenities for a 4 star hotel (e.g. slippers) and the separate toilet to the bathroom does not have a sink so its not very hygienic or private if sharing a room with friends, colleagues or family. Also, only one toaster machine at breakfast. Would be better to have two so there are no queues.

We had such a lovely stay. The room was beautiful and the view was amazing. I really appreciated the room upgrade, it made our stay even more special. The mini fridge was always refilled and the room was cleaned so well every day. Everything was just really comfortable and well looked after. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.
