The location was superb. However, the service of the night reception attendant during our stay was awful. We came in the first night asking if we ca request for extra pillow because the room only came in with 2 pillows. Without checking anywhere, she flat out responded nothing is available. We went to the room finding out the air conditioning unit was not working. We called the reception and was advised because it is winter it is not working, makes sense. So we asked for a fan, and were advised to open the windows. It was very uncomfortable having to sleep with the windows opened, it is very cold and noisy. When the windows are closed, it is very hot. So it wasn’t really a very comfortable sleep. The following night, we came in like we were ghost. The same attendant not even acknowledging us, but we’ve seen how lovely she greets other guests including their pets. I don’t know if that attendant has beef with us Asians, but it was very rude. Please ensure your front of the house are trained and coached properly.

This hotel really shouldn’t be an Ibis, it should be an Ibis Budget. The rooms are tiny and the en-suites are even tinier. The showers aren’t even 600x600 - at 6ft4” I couldn’t fit in them. The windows have chain window restrictors which weren’t fastened which as a building inspector horrifies me. The sound insulation was terrible. Could hear every time someone used the bathroom in either room and could hear everything outside the room. The only positives were lovely staff and a decent breakfast - however no one was checking rooms at breakfast and people were walking in boasting at the fact that they hadn’t paid when we both paid in full. Would I return!? No!! Would I recommend it!? No!

There was hair on my towel and on my bed. The lifts are very slow and I had to wait for them 10m at peak hour.
