I didn't catch the guy's name (apologies for that, nice guy), but he was really friendly and patient and helpful. I'm sorry I don't remember his name, but I hope there weren't many at the reception at 7AM and hopefully you pass my thanks to the right person.. He was very nice and funny and he took his time to help me with some details. Really good service.

The surrounding area is full of eatery outlets and close to main square attractions. I am an Accor Club Gold member and was told that i got an upgraded room when I enquired. The room was facing St Catherine Church although I requested for a front or city view. The room was adequate in size but the toilet/bath room was narrow and small even for an Asian. Overall was an okay experience.....just quite curious with the police presence at the front of the Hotel throughout duration of my stay, I wonder why?! The breakfast area seems to be lack of table & chairs for guests to have their meals, something the Hotel should do something about.

I would have rated it with 10 out of 10 if not because of what we experienced in the buffet area. MY Family and I traveled from US for a Christmas vacation in 4 countries in Europe, we decided to stay overnight in this hotel in Brussels, the night shift receptionists are very helpful especially the gentleman (he is Black African) I apologize for forgetting his name, who is very knowledgeable and who patiently answers all our queries. But before we checked out and head out to Paris we decided to eat breakfast and roam around the center or Brussels. We paid for the breakfast buffet and hand out our ticket and room no. To that lady in the breakfast room. While we were in the middle of getting our food, one of the female staff approached me in the middle of the buffet table and asking me about my room no. And where's my ticket and telling me that i didn't pay in front of other customers , she came to rudely and unprofessional. I didnt get her name too but i was itching to talk to the manager that day but my aunt told me to let it go. But i believed they need to be re educated or need reinforcement on costumer service

Mistakenly thought I had booked the train station location & was so happy as we walked toward the central city location - it’s a stones throw from the main streets of Brussels. The reception was fantastic, didn’t have to wait in line, and the man who checked us in was super friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel services. Was also happy about the cleanliness of the room :) Would recommend for a reasonable cost & central trip to Brussels

Beds were very comfortable, room had amazing view over church and local square, good location being a short walk to tram, metro and central shopping street. Breakfast was very good, large selection and nice coffee machine. Could perhaps do with greater selection of hot food, but waffle maker was very tasty.

Easy hotel to get to, close to Christmas markets & short walk to the magical Grand Place. Hotel & room clean with friendly & helpful reception staff. Good security at the hotel & bar prices reasonable. Only down side was how busy it was at breakfast, long queues for coffee machine (one of three available was out of order throughout our stay), fruit was not replemished & long waits to find a table to eat our breakfast. Not the staffs fault as they worked hard supplying the hot food & clearing tables. We went to breakfast at 9.00 & 10.00 which were peak times.

Overall was fine. Not good, not terrible. The room was very tired, dark, poorly ventilated. Bathroom was tiny and the fittings worn/dirty. Breakfast was ok and staff friendly, but the size of the breakfast area was way too small for the number of guests and was really crowded at times. Whilst waiting for friends at reception, I heard another guest complaining that possessions had been stolen from their room that day, which obviously was pretty alarming. Overall, really was fine, just not very good value for money for the price paid vs quality of the hotel product.

I have no complaints about the cleanliness or the room, check was friendly and efficient, staff were friendly enough . Complaint centres around my suitcase being either stolen or taken from the luggage room behind the reception . I left my personal details with the staff on the reception on the 9th of December and have received no follow-up no apology or no news about my suitcase. Extremely dissatisfied. The hotel was great but the booking process was a nightmare! We'd had 10 beds booked in the ibis central for about 6 months. The night before we travelled booking.com cancelled them! So I rang the ibis and booked us in again but they could only get 6 in the ibis and 4 in the novotel. It ended up costing us considerably more than budgeted. I complained to booking.com but they said it was the fault of ibis and ibis said it was booking.com's fault. I also had trouble entering my card details online to check into the rooms. With 5 rooms I had to input all the details 5 times but it took 3 or 4 attempts for each room to verify the details. I was up until 1.30am the night before the trip trying to sort it out. Despite this hassle we had a great time in Brussels.
