I stayed at this hotel over 10 years ago and it was very good .. I am very disappointed with the room this time very old and the whole floor is terrible had to check out early!

It was good experience to stay at Novotel with mum family. We all loved it. It would be good to have heater too as the room was little cold.

Disappointing Experience for the Price

I recently stayed at a hotel for one night, paying 150 CHF, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Considering the cost and the reputation of the hotel brand, I expected a seamless and pleasant stay, but it fell short in multiple aspects. Firstly, upon arrival, the receptionist struggled to find my booking in their system despite me providing the details of the booking. After a few minutes of back-and-forth, they eventually located the reservation. The check-in process took approximately 10 to 15 minutes, even though we were the only customers at the reception. To add to the inconvenience, I was informed that an additional city tax payment was required, despite my confirmation clearly stating that all taxes were included in the price at the time of booking. This unexpected charge was both frustrating and unprofessional. When we finally received our room key card, it didn’t work on the first try. I had to return to the lobby to have it reprogrammed, which was another unnecessary hassle. The issues continued once we entered the room. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working, even with all switches turned on. There were also visible stains on the toilet seat, which was unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Additionally, the alarm clock was inoperable due to visibly damaged wires, a detail that should have been addressed by the staff beforehand. I have photos as proof for the above issues. Overall, the experience was disappointing and fell far below the standard I would expect from such a reputable brand. For the price I paid, I expected better service, properly maintained amenities, and a more professional handling of the booking process. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve their service and facilities for future guests.
