Friendly staff. Easy check in. My room was clean and comfortable. The bedding and towels were fresh and clean and the bed comfy. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The only negative was the carpet in the room was stained. I don’t think it deserves all the negative reviews.

Charged premium room, gave budget room. changed at 1:30am to another budget with empty mini fridge but no bathtub as promised. Phone not working in the rooms, good way to silence complaints. Breakfast was bad, dirty floors/carpets in restaurant. No Hygiene.

Very dirty plates dirty at breakfast bread frozen had to put through toaster several times staff not helpful lift broke down with people in it and no procedure to rescue them two other guests had to do it and they were stuck for 40 minutes so avoid this hotel at all cost worst I’ve stayed in

I stayed at the Novotel for two nights while traveling for work, and it was a solid choice. My room was clean and comfy, just what I needed after a long day. Rianna at the bar really stood out—she was super friendly and made great suggestions. The hotel is in a convenient spot, close to the motorway and my meeting. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

Dirty, unkept, poorly run shoddy excuse of a hotel! Make sure you take notice of the poor reviews. They are true! I stayed for 2 nights for work. Dirty toilet on arrival in room. Disgusting stained and dirty carpet! Stained chair. Tatty and unkept marked walls with chunks missing from paintwork. Dust ridden kettle I would not use! I went to reception to explain / complain, although polite and apologetic the lady said there was nothing she could do as the hotel was fully booked - offered me slippers as the carpet was so dirty! I brought antibacterial wipes and cleaned everything. Breakfast was a joke! Undercooked bacon, dry bread for toast and no pastries as all had gone by 8am! Coffee machine had run out of beans and the miserable waitress said they weren’t getting a delivery till 9am! Second morning, still no coffee bean! Returned after a long day, room hadn’t been serviced at all! Had to go back to reception and ask for loo roll! Asked to speak to a manger but apparently there wasn’t one available. There was another lone female guest who had returned to reception as she (like me asked not to be placed on the ground floor but was) got to her room to find the door open and naturally was concerned! The man behind us said there were unsavoury characters seemingly hanging around the hotel who appeared to be staying. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A LONE FEMALE AND WANT TO FEEL SAFE AND HAVE A CLEAN ROOM! I ‘slept’ with a chair pushed against my door. Previous reviews have responses saying complaints will be looked into, this I do not believe as many say the same and it’s clearly not improved! Will email my company to say this ‘hotel’ should not be an option.
