This is a modern, arty hotel in a fantastic central location. The airport tram stop is just a two-minute walk away, directly opposite St Andrew Square, which made getting around the city extremely easy. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly and kindly accommodated an early check-in, which was very much appreciated. The lobby area is attractive and comfortable, with a bar/lounge space and equally friendly staff, making it a pleasant place to relax. Breakfast was good and well organised, with plenty of choice, especially for a continental-style breakfast. Options included cereals, toast, pastries, cheese and salami, along with scrambled eggs and a good-quality coffee machine. The queen-size room, although on the smaller side, was modern, clean and comfortable, and very quiet at night. The bathroom was compact but also modern and clean with a good shower. The room amenities included a kettle with tea bags, full-size mugs and a small bottle of long-life milk. The window could be partially opened for fresh air, which was a nice touch. Additional amenities included a hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo. There was no fridge or safe, but this did not detract from an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Spent a one night stay in this city centre hotel and would recommend it. Great location a few minutes walk from bus and railway station and right in the heart of the city attractions. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. The public areas were well laid out and the service was very good. Breakfast was included with our visit and for a “ continental breakfast“ the choice was much better than expected. Overall very happy with our visit

We stayed during Hogmanay so paid a premium rate for hotel. It is a nice hotel, decor is very abstract but colourful. We had 2 rooms on ground floor, room 9 window was very draughty and could not be "fixed". Once we got heating sorted it was OK. Breakfast is excellent and is very fresh and plentiful. Would go back again, we were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 older teenagers. Edinburgh was a great city break... will be back and will stay again
