There was construction equipment stored in my room when I accessed it. Due to the ongoing construction/painting in the hotel, it was a cluttered and messy looking.

Great location! Worth the cost? No when you factor in the smallness of the room and the bed was too hard for our liking ( minus one star) . Another star was lost for the coffee, it was like water. The rest of the service was great, holding our bags before or room was available and also allowing an early check-in.

Great position for the Royal Mile and Castle … and if this is for you then fine. Breakfast not bad, staff friendly … but rooms just so hot and stuffy. No way of regulating apparently so two sleepness nights. Would not recommend or return.
