The staff at the Sofitel is always friendly and attentive; however, one stands out. His name is Meti. He works at the bar area. For 20 years, his service has always been impecable. Meti always greets you like you were family remains attentive to the needs of the table. My husband and I usually stop at the Sofitel for drinks, sometimes just the two of us, sometimes with friends. In every occasion, Meti takes care of us impeccable well. For us, he is more than a waiter, Meti is a dear friend. Roberto and Dan Cedrone.

The staff were excellent friendly and attentive. My only issue was with the room where the bathroom looked tired and the shower needed to be repaired.

The location is convenient, with several good dining options nearby. The room itself is spacious, and I stayed for five nights. However, at check-in the staff did not provide any information about hotel amenities—they simply checked my ID and card, handed over the key, and that was it. I only discovered the next day that the room did not include a coffee machine or an electric kettle. The internet connection was also below expectations and could use improvement. While I might consider staying again for the room size, New York offers many great hotel options, so I would likely try a different property next time.

Sofitel NY is perfectly located in midtown Manhattan, right close to 5th Ave, the Rockefeller Centre, Grand Central Station, Times Square & Broadway, while even Central Park is only a 20-30min walk away - so absolutely perfect for first time tourists like us! The hotel is modern and stylish and instantly "feels like a Sofitel". We had a suite on the 26th floor with good views. Food and drink options are good in the restaurant/bar whatever the time of day. Staff were friendly and delivered great service - a special commendation must go to concierge Run-Run for her excellent advice and bookings. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day visit and will definitely stay here again next time in the Big Apple!

I have been visiting the bar cafe at the Sofitel for more than 20 years. I live outside of Philadelphia and my husband and I visit New York to attend Broadway shows, museums, etc., about a dozen times a year. Our go to place for cocktails before or after the event is always at the Sofitel even after COVID. Why? People like Meti, and the rest of the staff provide outstanding service all the time and make us feel at home. Every time we see Meti, it is like meeting an old friend. Basically, we love the bar/cafe at the Sofitel and would not go anywhere else. Kudos to your excellent staff and service!
