hotel altho at a central midtown location, along with its attached restaurant was expensive with little extra value for the price paid. The rooms provided minimal amenities, No coffee, fresh water refill station in hallway, shampoo and soaps dispensed from wall attached dispensers. Additionally, the hotel charged a "resort fee" of about $55.00 daily coyly described as a New York experience fee. You did get a plastic water bottle at checkin to refill your water from the hallway.

The location was excellent, the rooms were well designed and beds comfy. We had some noise issues, the hotel is an old building and despite being away from the lifts was very noisy with aircon and lift mechanism noises throughout the night. Our children were staying in a separate room and were kept up by noisy neighbour (4 children and their nanny sharing a single room), we complained to the hotel on the second of 3 days and nothing was done, the 3rd night was the worst. The room itself was good however we were surprised to find no coffee or tea making facilities at the price for a deluxe room, this should be the bare minimum and every hotel in Europe of 3 star or better would have this. Overall a good experience but I would not rush back.

We had a nice stay at Sofitel. We were disappointed that as a platinum member we were given the most basic king room with almost no amenities in each room or welcome drinks/food which is expected at a Sofitel. The bathrooms need renovations for a luxury hotel too. Staff were friendly and welcoming

The hotel is recently renovated and is conveniently located near Times Square. My room was spacious and kept exceptionally clean. The staff are warm and attentive to guests’ needs, and I loved the refillable water bottle provided. Would definitely stay again.
