We experienced really bad service levels throughout the stay. Keep in mind- I am a diamond member, so I really was not expecting such service levels. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only plus- it’s clean and they have use high quality soap. The breakfast is horrible- They followed my family member around during breakfast, and the egg station guy pushed ready made ones at the live counter. Maybe it’s just a lack of training. I also gave them ample feedback but all I got was a “sorry”. No gesture of apology, nothing.

It was a very satisfying experience staying at Mercure Kyoto Station for the second time. A special shout-out to Joe, one of the reception staff in the lobby, who truly enhanced our stay. He kindly accommodated our family’s needs by upgrading our room to a twin-bed setup with an additional sofa bed, which made a big difference as we were traveling with a child. Joe was also very considerate and helpful in providing local advice on where to go and what to explore around the area. His attentiveness and hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable.

Experience has been great here with Mercure Kyoto. Only challenge is they offer premium natural mineral water & as per the staff members they have a limit of 2 bottles of 400 ml each per day per room, with 800 ml of water how can I keep my self & my partner hydrated only Mercure Kyoto can confirm basis their sustainability effort. They kinda force you to buy water from them Which is not nice. They should atleast offer normal bottled mineral water since the one they offer seems expensive for them to offer.

We regret that this was not explained clearly during your stay and that it gave the impression that water was being limited or sold to guests. This is a matter of communication, and we fully acknowledge that our explanation should have been clearer and more proactive.
