Experience was ok. Close to tennis arenas but too noisy at night from trains.

First time I've stayed there, but for attending a Lewis Capaldi concert on at Rod Laver Arena, how super convenient. 8 mins walk from Mantra Jolimont to check in for the concert

We just stayed the night for a concert. One concern may be alerting customers to the size of the car parks if booking one. It took me 10 minutes to maneuver my Ford Ranger into an available parking space. I don't have a bull bar, which would have made it near impossible to fit.

My goodness the staff need to work on their communication. I gave my card details at time of booking but for some reason payment was not processed. I then tried to pay again when realising my family would arrive before me due to traffic, nope they just called me twice to tell me how displeased they were. Family paid but were charged an UNDISCLOSED $100 bond. I tried to book pre parking (as we were travelling with infants) and was assured two spaces were reserved. When trying to confirm my booking after no confirmation email days later I was told despite having two rooms, they would only reserve one space. Don’t worry, anything bigger than a hatchback won’t fit in the carpark anyway. So our brand new vehicle was out in the driveway, unsecured for a $50 parking fee. The second vehicle had to be parked 10 mins away, lovely walk with a small, tired baby. Room was very dated, lots of wear and tear. Was pleased at the location so close to the MCG and arenas but displeased at how close to the train tracks it was. The clacking was very loud inside rooms and woke my baby multiple times. Buffet was a redeeming quality. Although overpriced in my opinion, it was delicious. I’ve previously had great experiences with Mantras elsewhere but I would not rebook with this hotel again. Too much hassle for a really lacklustre experience.
