I have stayed in probably 20 Fairmonts, and this was among the nicest. Modern, classy, very "L.A.", great location, friendly staff, a real treat.

The Fairmont is a great hotel--still feels new and is well-maintained. It's also well-located. The two negative feedback points I have is that wifi didn't work in my room and there were issues with the phone as well. Overall, good experience though.

The room was very comfortable, and I loved that there was a balcony. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the bar staff was amazing. Mark was awesome. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the entire hotel.

The staff was friendly and efficient but the rooms were not in good shape. I checked the rooms of my colleagues, so this does not pertain just to my room. The sheets did not smell good - I'm not sure if they were not changed or just not fully clean. The minibar was empty (dry goods) and the minibar (drinks) was not complete. I called to enquire and was told "oh, don't worry, you won't be charged for anything." My worry was wanting a snack, and not getting an answer as to why minibar was non-existent (I asked multiple times). Luckily the restaurant on premise was fantastic which was the only five start leaning experience I had. Room service was so strange - they would come by the room before 8AM and slide a note under the door that since my privacy light was on they passed me by - "call if you want service" - which I did but it never came. Before 8AM for room cleaning? I'm so confused. I stay in five star hotels on the regular and this was just a disappointment. I'm generally not in Fairmonts but my conference was in the hotel and I will say it was overall convenient.
