We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is quite nice. We enjoyed daily breakfast, but otherwise did not dine in the hotel. The highlight was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful. There were three areas where we were disappointed. Neither the desk chair nor the brown side chair were comfortable. The disk chair was wobbly and the side chair was way too soft. As older travelers we appreciate a comfortable chair or couch to relax in the evening. On the other hand, the patio chairs were quite firm. On the morning following our first night, the lobby was completely taken over by a film crew. We had to be escorted through an active workplace to reach the restaurant. The issue is that we were not notified of this when we checked in the previous afternoon. Had we known we might have made alternative arrangements. Lastly, we would have appreciated some more flexibility with the breakfast menu. We booked through the Amex Hotel Collection, and breakfast was included. I’m not clear why we could not order off the normal menu and have a credit applied (and pay any overage). Limiting us to a handful of choices was not ideal over a four night stay.

Last minute stay due to LA Marathon, great decision and time! Only knock is hotel restaurant and bar closed in the afternoons, not convenient at all. I left the mall just to have a bite at the hotel and they were both closed.
