Stayed here for 9 nights with my daughter and her friend. From the front desk staff to porters, valets and doormen, at all times the service was friendly, polite and impeccable. We had a problem with Thanksgiving lunch at another very well known hotel which was a bucket list destination for us where the other hotel closed the restaurant and cancelled our reservation without informing us despite confirming the reservation the day before! Again the Sofitel came through and accommodated my party of 3 for Thanksgiving lunch despite being busy. The location is fabulous and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends, family and colleagues. A fabulous experience for my daughter, her friend and myself.

The room was damp smelling, all the facilities within it were tired and old. There was no headboard on the bed, just a large gap at the back of it. The bathroom had thin towels and rusting soap dishes. It wasn’t what I expected for the price- it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a ‘luxury’ hotel. Valet was slow and overpriced. Really disappointed with Sofitel- would not stay there again based on the recent experience.

The maid service needs improvement. My bed was not made on the second day of my stay, and the trash was not emptied. The tv did not have a signal on both days of my stay, but was fixed after informing front desk.

Although the overall experience as pleasant, it was disappointing not to be able to get the double bed room we wanted.

Front lobby valets and luggage personnel were excellent but the front desk was disappointing as they did not really try to get us the double bed room we wanted. Did not feel they tried but took the easy route and simply said nothing was available. I was disappointed they did not attempt to address my concern.

The staff was incredible, the room perfect and the view beautiful. My granddaughter was very ill at Cedars Sinai hospital and the staff bent over backwards with kindness. When as children do she became well almost instantly, I rather quickly checked out to big smiles. I am so thankful for for all who helped to ease this difficult time. Many thanks.

My husband was at the hospital and I came back to my room, but it wasn't made so a sweet woman, Maureen, a room attendant came in and cleaned the room. Modern decor with some lovely common areas like the pool and patio areas. Beds super comfortable. Haris on reception was very accommodating and helpful, great service. Our only grip was the room service food we ordered after arriving late at the hotel. We had a bowl of chopped plain lettuce with 5 bland prawns, and a baby beetroot salad that hardly contained any beetroot, mostly tasteless greens. When we mentioned this on checkout we were offered $25 off the bill which was a nice gesture. Would stay again but the initial bad food put us off eating at the restaurant.
