Beautiful hotel. Quiet and spacious. Felt private. Great pools. Big rooms. Good food options, Morimoto and breakfast a highlight. Maybe a Moroccan themed restaurant with local dishes would have been good. The staff were the absolute highlight and made us feel really looked after especially around the pool and in the restaurants. Overall a wonderful experience that we would recommend to anyone.

There were ants in our room and when we called about it, they sent the cleaning lady and she only had a towel and went around the room wiping where she saw ants. I will also like to point out that it took over 30 minutes for someone to come to our room to address the ant problem (which was not properly handled in our opinion). We had to ASK to switch rooms after this because a towel did not take care of the problem. Additionally, when we switched rooms, they just moved us to a room down the hall. We did not see ants in our new room, but there was a trail of ants from our previous room to at least 3 other rooms as well so it was dissapointing that we were moved just down the hall when there was a clear ant problem. Besides this, the staff and hotel amenities were incredible. I would have given a much higher score if the room situation was handled better, but because considering this is a Fairmont property this is not something I would expect from this property.

Beautiful hotel. Quiet and spacious. Felt private. Great pools. Big rooms. Good food options, Morimoto and breakfast a highlight. Maybe a Moroccan themed restaurant with local dishes would have been good. The staff were the absolute highlight and made us feel really looked after especially around the pool and in the restaurants. Overall a wonderful experience that we would recommend to anyone.

There were ants in our room and when we called about it, they sent the cleaning lady and she only had a towel and went around the room wiping where she saw ants. I will also like to point out that it took over 30 minutes for someone to come to our room to address the ant problem (which was not properly handled in our opinion). We had to ASK to switch rooms after this because a towel did not take care of the problem. Additionally, when we switched rooms, they just moved us to a room down the hall. We did not see ants in our new room, but there was a trail of ants from our previous room to at least 3 other rooms as well so it was dissapointing that we were moved just down the hall when there was a clear ant problem. Besides this, the staff and hotel amenities were incredible. I would have given a much higher score if the room situation was handled better, but because considering this is a Fairmont property this is not something I would expect from this property.

The infrastructure is great, grounds well kept.
disappointed by management, we came in a very busy period (eid), so check in took time (after 3 pm) but more frustrating is that we got the luggage to our room 50 mins later after 2 complaints. What i noticed (and I am not the only one) is that the GM was around but was hiding behind his phone instead of coming to reception and dealing with issues and making sure customers are well taken care of (Maybe he was just waiting for VIP customers) but he remained detached from all frustrated clients, people complaining... I could go on an on about service issues but when management is not attentive I don't need to waste my team in further feedback

The resort combines beautiful facilities, excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere. Our villa upgrade made the stay even more special, with a warm private pool and plenty of space for the whole family.
What truly stands out is the Kids Club. This is not just childcare, but a professionally run programme with engaging daily activities that kept our children happy and excited throughout the stay.
The service was consistently friendly, attentive and caring. While service can occasionally be a little slower, this never affected our enjoyment and is simply part of the relaxed local culture.
Most importantly, during the entire week we had absolutely nothing to complain about. No issues, no disappointments, no need to contact management – something that is becoming increasingly rare in luxury hotels.
We leave with wonderful family memories and would gladly return. Fairmont Taghazout Bay has become one of our favourite family resorts.

- Mattress was too hard, topper was to fix it uncomfortable, unable to deliver the typical plush 5 star experience
- Rigid rules make the stay unpleasant: can’t access the spa facilities without a treatment reservation. Suggest allowing guests to pre-book access for 1-2h with limited number of people to maintain peace and make it free for suites and above.
- Wellness schedule is disappointing, no daily yoga
- Paying extra for group classes feels cheap especially when booking a premium suite
- DJ blasting loud music gave the Japanese restaurant a club feel, this gives headaches

A fantastic hotel all round. Great location, clean and well maintained. Without exception, staff were courteous and helpful.
There was just one problem on the second night of our stay when there were lots of guests, and when we tried to book dinner we were told there was absolutely no availability! We made it clear that this was not acceptable and eventually a nice table in Tapa was found for us at a time that suited us. So it ended well!

The hotel is far more luxurious than the website indicates. The evenings in particular at Beef & Reef watching the sunset or at Morimoto with the sunset DJ and open fires are spectacular.
The few niggles I had were (a) the aircon in the room is awful. It wasn't even too hot when i stayed (mid 20s) yet the aircon couldn't get the room anywhere near the target temp. I raised it pretty much everyday but never felt it was being dealt with properly. (b) the kids club is really small. It feels full even with 6 kids in there. I wouldn't have considered leaving mine there will lack of space. (c) the staff on the whole are great but there is a lack of staff looking after the pool/beach. It's often tedious trying to find some to order a drink/food and when you do it can take ages!
Would definitely visit again but there are a few things to be improved.

We had a lovely stay. The room was nice, we enjoyed the food and loved being on the beach. Our only issue was that service could be very slow in the restaurants. In the tapas restaurant we waited nearly 30 minutes to be given menus and have drinks orders taken.

This was our second time staying at the Fairmont Taghazout. We really enjoyed our stay overall and the food in the restaurants was excellent, however, I was disappointed with the check-in experience. It was not explained to us that a substantial holding deposit would be taken from my card. We checked out on Sunday morning and the remaining balance of the deposit (for money we did not spend) still has not been reimbursed. If this process and the expected reimbursement timeframe had been clearly explained to us at check-in or check-out, it would have been appreciated, instead, we have been left wondering whether a mistake has been made as we wait for the money to be returned to my account. I felt the service at breakfast was a little bit disorganised, there was never anyone at the desk and we were left waiting for someone to take us to a table.

Very attractive property with easy access to a private beach. Large rooms with usually very good housekeeping. Standards of service are not consistently five star with both extremely good and extremely bad service from the whole range of staff. A wide range of restaurants with the Tapas room being the best overall in my experience (in terms of both food and service). Beef and Reef had an unfortunate female front of house manager who was very off-putting, to say the least. Prices are extremely high - compared to the other European hotels on this stretch of the bay and not just compared to local outlets. The combination of mixed to low service standards and high prices makes the Fairmont poor value for money. Higher standards would justify the price level.
Perhaps the most unusual experience was waiting in line at reception to talk to someone and having to watch a toddler use a potty while her mother was talking to the receptionist (who didn’t seem bothered). The toilets and changing areas were about 30 seconds away. A first for me in any hotel let alone a five start one!
