We recently had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Venice Papadopoli Hotel MGallery in a very comfortable suite and our whole time there was relaxing and restful. And what a fabulous location! So easy to get to and from the bus and train stations and to hop on and off the vaporetto but in a quiet setting next to the park. We can’t praise the staff enough - they were friendly and welcoming and also very helpful whenever we needed anything, including finding a stand-alone mirror when our suite didn’t have any wall ones close to a power point for hair drying/styling (the only one was in the bathroom). The breakfasts were excellent and we really appreciated the large and varied range of items available, and the staff there deserve special mention for their friendliness, efficiency and cheerfulness. We will certainly stay again!

The location allowed us to explore the city very easily. It is conveniently located near the bus stops, vaporetto piers and water taxi can come directly to the hotel. In the area, there are simple restaurants with typical Italian food. Breakfast at the hotel is great. The service at the restaurant and concierge is superb. Our room overlooking the canals and the square with a small terrace surrounded by jasmine flowers made the stay unforgettable.

The hotel was located conveniently near bus/car 'drop off' or station, convenient to some tour meet-up locations that we booked. We took a land taxi from the airport and it was only a 5 minute walk, including one bridge that had a ramp helpful for rolling luggage! Excellent! Hotel staff was helpful in booking water taxi, van return to airport, and had nice recommendations for restaurants. Two negatives - I had prebooked with breakfast, but our tour and departure started to early to enjoy it. At checkin, I asked to remove/confirmed that we did would not have breakfast included, but at checkout, the charge was there and they said they could not remove it. Perhaps a communication gap at checkin, and my fault. Secondly, while the room was air conditioned, it was very very weak ... so it was pretty warm. We were grateful to be there in May when temps were not too too hot!

We are also very happy that our staff could assist you with transportation arrangements and restaurant recommendations. Regarding breakfast, we are sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, as the breakfast service is not managed directly by the hotel, we are unable to remove the charge once confirmed and not used. As you correctly understood, the breakfast should also have been cancelled the evening before departure, and in that case there would not have been any issue. Concerning the air conditioning, we currently have no reports of malfunction, however we will certainly verify the system to ensure everything is working properly. Staff was reasonably helpful and welcoming, but having stayed in 3 different hotels over the course of the past week I was far from “wow’d”. The room was very tiny but offered a canal view. Assistance with our car across the lagoon was great. Property is pretty dated and could use a refresh.
