We needed a less expensive but reliable hotel close to the Metro. Breakfast was good, room was clean, quiet and staff friendly. On the downside, room was chilly (thermostat didn't seem to make a difference), more hangers would have been good, there was no English Breakfast tea (most hotels offer this) and a safe would have been useful.

Well located, clean, quiet, but no internet for 2 days.

I was disappointed that the room that was supposed to have a queen-sized bed was actually two twins merely pushed together and a large sheet to connect them. I discovered this when I slipped between the two beds in my sleep. I have also been charged twice for my booking, but I have raised this as a formal complaint.

Unfortunately, the hotel had a strong, care-home style odour that was really off-putting from the moment we arrived. The décor is extremely dated – the walls still have old-fashioned chipboard, and the first room we were given felt more like a hostel than a £120-per-night hotel, with the bed pushed up against the wall. We were moved to a larger room where you could access the bed from both sides, but it was still dark, dingy and very dated. I’ve genuinely seen nicer hostels. While the room was clean, the overall standard was so poor that I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. It is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
