Easy late night (11.50pm) checkin. Well located and clean. Pillows were very big and hard and therefore uncomfortable. We asked for different pillows and were supplied with flatter but still a bit firm for my liking. On the booking page, it asked about late check out (5pm), which I wanted. The details said that this option was offered free of charge on Sundays. When I told front staff that I wanted to take advantage of this option, I was told by a sour looking woman that it wasn't accurate. I returned to the front desk to show the website details and after checking, it was agreed that I could check out at 5pm. On the Sunday, I received a phone call at lunch time asking when I was leaving as our belongings were still in our room. I explained that we had arranged late check out and would be back around 4pm. I was told "there's nothing in the notes". I recommend updating the website if it is inaccurate, or updating staff if the website is accurate.

Novotel Sydney City Centre offers a fantastic location and good amenities, and the automated check-in process was smooth and efficient. However, the room was disappointingly small with a very dark, claustrophobic ambience, which made the stay less comfortable

Top location, they also let me check in early between meetings which was great. Bed and room were as expected although could do with a variety of pillows rather than lots of the same super high ones. The bathroom really lets it down. It could have been made slightly bigger and not lost anything from the room itself. It feels like a boat or camper, only just enough space for the door to open between the sink and toilet. I wouldn't recommend for anyone near 6ft or taller as the shower had a dropped ceiling which left only just enough head height for me. The sink didn't drain and the shower grout was moldy. The vanity panel came off when I bumped it. Location is great for a short stay I can put up with the bathroom
