Thanks for accomodating us. We stayed one night. Firstly, wanted to stay the staff were excellent. No concerns there. On arriving at the hotel, we walked into the reception area and the smell of fried calamari and fish was not just welcoming. To be honest, it was actually quite overpowering and the smell permeated the entire reception area. That was not great. That smell was evident in the hotel rdwruin area for the duration of our short stay. Secondly, I attribute this to my own issue but the room was tiny (19 square meters). I should have double checked on my booking. That room was not comfortable to just relax in as it felt small. The beds were comfortable as a plus and the parking options were plentiful. As it stands, as a gold member, I won’t likely rebook the hotel based on the reception area as it was also not enjoyable to just sit in the lounge with the smell of fried food. Thanks for the opportunity to stay, we will be back in Bendigo for other events, but won’t be staying at the hotel. Sincere apologies.

Conveniently located and walking distance to Lake Weeroona. Great art decoration and nice vibe. The room we stayed in was a bit small but clean and comfortable. Water pressure great. Like some other reviews mentioned, the entrance area is not well ventilated and the kitchen smell from the cafe can be really strong. 2 charging stations (1 not working) on site but people parked in these spots overnight preventing others from accessing, and staff can't do anything about it. Overall good for short stays.
