Staff were lovely and always helpful. Food was good and plentiful, filling breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean, however was tired and needed freshening up (threadbare carpets in places, no fridge and the bathroom required updating as did the dining area). It's a nice place and we've stayed in worse but we've also stopped in a lot better for the price

Had our team Christmas meal in a private room for 24 of us. As ever the Bowden team didn’t disappoint. The two waiters were quietly efficient and cheerful. The room looked lovely The food was excellent, really big portions and everyone said how nice it was. They provided a decent speaker so we could play our playlist Stayed overnight and the room was beautifully comfortable with a nespresso machine Breakfast was really nice - proper mushrooms a really nicely cooked sausages. Lots of choice Will be back!!

We had a table for 10 booked in one of their lakeside pods as a Christmas gathering for friends. From initial booking with Chelsea, down to the exceptional waiting service with Joseph, the reservation has been fault free and seamless. Food was incredible and nothing was too much trouble. Perfect venue for a gathering!

Had a great works xmas party here. Food was lovely and staff very friendly and attentive . Breakfast the next morning was lovely too. Rooms and beds comfortable. Only area that needed improvement was time waiting at bar. Perhaps more staff required when large parties there.
