I had a pleasant stay at the ibis Birmingham Airport. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located for an early flight. I’d especially like to mention Harman, who was working in the restaurant. Harman was friendly, attentive, and made the dining experience very enjoyable. The service was quick and welcoming, which really made a difference. I would happily stay here again.

Currently staying here with family prior to flying out to the Dominican. We have been here since Christmas Day and we use the hotel as a relaxing place to be prior to travelling. We have stayed here on numerous occasions and find the hotel conveniently close to the terminal. The staff are super friendly, the place clean, but the rooms are terribly cold. The room heating system blows cold air out until 7pm and then blows lukewarm air for around 2 hours then reverts back to cold. Reception staff did provide us with a small heater, but that doesn’t distribute warmth, only to the touch. The reception team did try 3 other rooms with me to see if they were any better. They too were cold. We had this issue in 2024 with this hotel and a change of room was no different. Whilst here we have witnessed others complain about the cold. We have no doubt that these room heaters are on a timing system and set to a certain temperature. Quite possibly to save money. How cold it is it’s possible that vulnerable people could be ill. Writing this the room temperature feels as cold as it would be outside. We did look at possibly returning home to collect 2 small heaters to make our stay more comfortable. Wrap up warm if staying here in winter or seek alternative accommodation. On this occasion we have rooms 201 & 207, both are cold, both heaters come on and go off the same time.
