This was one of my most enjoyable stay in any hotel across the world. And I have been to a lot of hotels across many countries and continents! It was booked for work related meeting, so we used a. Ig meeting room on the ground floor. The teas and snacks served throughout the day of the meeting was brill. Breakfast was delicious, so was lunch which had all the options including vegetarian. Staff of the hotel were friendly and professional. Special shout out to the cook ( a young lady) who was responsible for breakfast and lunch on 25.04.2024. All other staff were fab too.

Rooms are way nicer than I was expecting, really nice, all modern facilities. Lobby, bar and restaurant really nice. Drinks a bit pricey but I should've checked before I ordered :') Staff all really nice too.

A nice riverside walk to the city pubs etc and easy walk to city centre.

In need to a good clean!

We stay at Novotel Edinburgh Park often and we were expecting a similar experience in York. The room was a reasonable size but the loo was tiny and separate from the shower room and sink. There were visible cobwebs on the ceiling and anything that could be removed was screwed in place - even the tissue box in the bathroom! We left the "do not disturb/cleaning not required" card on our door when we went out for the day but this was ignored and our room made-up while we were out.

At Novotel, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the issues you raised about the condition of the bedroom and prevent future occurrence. The separate toilet and bathroom is a Novotel norm (with Novotel Edinburgh Park being one of the few exceptions) - this is related to us being a family friendly hotel and giving option for different facilities to be used without interruption in a shared room. Our tissue boxes are secured so they look smarter and in place. I note your comments about our prices. As a member, you get the best price when you book direct. Bedroom prices and certainly change daily as availability changes, but they do not change constantly during the day. The types of rooms available may do though (as people book or cancel); this is something we cannot control. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future, also our Front Office Manager will contact your directly about aspects of your stay.
