Too basic for 3* hotel

Pp Friends - Confirmed reviews ALL

I booked the hotel because some friends wanted to go there. At the end they went to another hotel and if I would cancel my reservation I would lose my money so I went to the hotel and try it. The room was tiny 12m2, with a small window from which smoke was coming from the pipe of the building in front. Small double bed, basic bed sheets, basic interior design. Even the carpet in the corridor was of bad taste. I stayed only one night (instead of 3 nights booked) because I did not sleep well and I did not feel comfortable. The first day when I came back to the hotel to pick up my suitcase and go to another hotel I booked, I arrived with a local friend who was not allowed to come upstairs and assist me although I mentioned that in 5 minutes we shall be back to leave the hotel. I suppose because I booked a double room for one person nobody can come to my room even to help me with my bags.

Gave us a family room different from the booking. When I requested to change room to the one stated on my booking, the staff and manager didn’t allow it. And reason being because the hotel is fully booked.

We got to the Hotel early & were lucky that our room was ready for us. We couldn't sort out the safe so rang down to reception who sent a lady who kindly sorted it for us. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Our room was clean & spacious, the beds were comfy. There wasn't much noise from the road outside & was quiet at night. Breakfast had a lovely choice of continental food & bacon. eggs. sausage & hash brown which we enjoyed. The chocolate cake was amazing. The underground station was about a 5 minute walk which took you into the City or you could go 1 stop then change then go to the Railway Station. Would definitely recommend this Hotel.
