There was only one bath towel no no hand face towel. I was entitled to have a free drink & I asked for bottle of water there was no water bottle I was provided jug of water

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Food ok. A proper real ale on would have been nice. We were with a dog and although we understand that we had to be apart from the restaurant with him, we were seated quite a distance away, almost in reception, as though we were outcasts! A little nearer or even in the bar area would have been acceptable.

We usually arrange such seating to make sure all the guests are comfortable, but surely your request to have a seat near the bar area or somewhere closer to the main area is noted for future visits. Room fine, even though it was last on second floor and we both have blue badges due to mobility difficulties. Service in the restaurant VERY slow. We waited nearly an hour to be served ,so it was too late for a sweet.

Beds too hard and food overpriced

While the room was a good size, our double bed was very hard and the pillows were just the wrong thickness - not deep enough to use just one but two were way too deep together. The TV was weirdly positioned making it harder to view from bed. The food we had in the evening was not the quality I would expect for the price, and the breakfast was not value for money.
