The airconditioning in the room was not working properly, so it was too hot to sleep. Also, the rooms need touching up (e.g. light bulb replacement at the night stand lamps, old leake iron for ironing clothing, signs of age/water-induced calcification at the showers doors in the bathroon)

The hotel is well located and the lobby area is nice. The check in experience was good. However the room was in need of refurbishment, with tired and marked furniture. The pillows were also quite uncomfortable.

Good size room with all the amenities. Bathroom and toilet separate with no sink for hand washing in toilet, not a deal breaker but many doors to operate before you can wash them. Plenty of seating in the room which was good. Breakfast a little chaotic, coffee machine regularly needed the big tubs underneath topped up. Not sure why they couldn’t be done before service. Free drink was decent though, thanks There’s a door straight into the station which was a bonus and the station is easy to navigate with plenty of food places too. I’m sure we will stay again.

My wife and I unfortunately feel ill with severe food poisoning (fever, diaharrea and vomiting) after consuming the hotel breakfast. We reported the incident to the hotel and requested doctor. The doctor took over three hours and during that time hotel staff did not even offer us water or check on our wellbeing. After raising a complaint and requesting to speak with the manager on numerous occasions we were informed he was too busy in a meeting and would call us within one hour after our departure. He never called and instead wrote an email with incorrect facts trying to play down the severity of the situation. We work with many hotels worldwide through our travel blog and am appalled at the level of service we experienced during our stay in this hotel. The matter of the food poisoning has still not been addressed and we will be escalating the matter. This is not something that we expect from such a distinguished brand of hotels. The lack of empathy from staff and professionalism also was extremely disappointing when guest service and wellbeing should be at the top of their priority. Unfortunately, this was completely lacking from our experience. Very disappointing and the experience completely ruined our vacation to Brussels and has left a sour note in our minds with the Pullman brand and their ethics and commitment to maintaining a high level of guest service.
