Good base for young families

We came for two nights with a 3 and 6 year old during the UK half term (late October). Our family room was fine for our purposes with comfortable beds and the mini fridge was useful. We were able to check in slightly earlier as we arrived mid week but on departure the hotel was busy. Despite being given a late checkout until 1pm we were questioned by someone on the day as the late checkout wasn’t on the system. Irrespective we were ready to go earlier so we did . The hotel facilities were good. good breakfast options. There was no specific children play area but a small selection of books and games was appreciated. The lobby was a nice and spacious place to relax in the evening. Plenty of little eateries on the road outside meant we could pick up waffles/chocs easily. Highly recommend for other families and other travellers alike.
