We arrived by ferry at Caen at 10 pm and were worried the hotel reception might be closed. We had rung the week before and were assured there was someone at reception all night. This was the case and we , and the cat, received a warm welcome at 10.45 pm. The room was clean and spacious and we were even able to get a nightcap from the bar. The shower in the bathroom was good and we had an excellent breakfast before setting off the following morning. We would definitely consider staying here again.
