Had a long weekend stay here with my dog and it was the perfect walkable location to literally everything. Parking is conveniently located in the garage attached, although it's a bit expensive (46Euro for 3 days). The two gentlemen at the reception desk were a delight and always smiling whenever coming or going. There is a nice little terrace at the restaurant and you can also take your dog there. Unfortunately I can't recommend the food as I didn't have breakfast, and the dinner I opted for left a bit to be desired with a highly limited menu to begin with, it was mediocre at best. The view from the room was nice, overlooking the Schlossberg, and I suppose other rooms would also have a view of the Muenster or city skyline. The only complaint I really have is that the a/c was not sufficient to cool the room on very hot days... and if you don't go back after the room service/cleaning, your window will be left open and no a/c so it will be hot and difficult to cool down again. However, I will definitely stay again when I come back to Freiburg. Overall it was a great choice!

An excellent location, excellent parking solution with a nice price arrangement, rich breakfast, kind staff, spacious room. Good free wifi in all hotel areas - we booked and paid in advance for a premium wifi but there was really no need for that. A bit old fashioned but very functional. We enjoyed it very much. It's advisable to put nets against flying insects on the windows. In the beginning of the stay, when we left the windows open for some black forest air, some insects came in and it was unpleasant. I asked the staff to spray, it was taken care of and it seemed to settle for the remainder of the stay.
