Aircon at room 1718 is probably defective. It’s noisy. Improperly or inappropriately located above the bed. In most big or high end hotels it’s placed above the entrance of the room. The thermostat is fixed, even if mode is placed at fan the temp is still cold. Again, it’s noisy, even at the lowest level.

When booking in, I was asked if I wanted to check out late, I asked for 3 pm check out, on the date of check out, manager was knocking on my door with security guard at 2:50pm, a little intimidating, told the manager that I was ok by the check in agent to be checking out by 3pm, then he changed his tune.

The hotel was well located for coastal and local experiences, we enjoyed wandering around the local township and exploring the restaurants. We were impressed by the customer service, everyone was very friendly and very helpful. We had some issues making a phone call to the airlines and a staff member let us borrow their phone, he went above and beyond! Our room was lovely, well presented and very clean. The food was great and had quite a selection, I wanted to try traditional Filipino food and this hotel was a great intro for it! The private beach and pool area was awesome, my boyfriend and I wished we found it sooner. The whole experience at the Mactan Hotel Cebu was delightful and it was a great introduction to the Philippines. I stayed at the hotel primarily for business purposes, so I did not spend much time in the room. However, I really enjoyed the bed and pillows, which I found to be very comfortable. Upon returning to my room, I noticed that it was generally clean and tidy. However, in the bathroom, my used face towel was still left in place, and the bath towels were not folded in the same manner as the unused towels. On the second day my empty bottled water was not changed. This is simply an observation and constructive feedback. I believe these details are important to ensure that the expected housekeeping standards are consistently followed in accordance with Accor’s standards. Overall, I appreciated my stay and hope this feedback can help maintain the quality and consistency of the guest experience.

Front Desk Call Response The response time for answering calls at the Front Desk needs to be improved. Calls should be attended to promptly to ensure efficient and timely assistance to guests. Room Service Response to Guest Issues The response time of the Room Service team in attending to and resolving guest concerns needs to be improved. Prompt action and proper follow-up should be ensured to enhance guest satisfaction. Recurring Washroom Flushing Issue The washroom flushing issue has occurred on two separate occasions. This recurring problem should be thoroughly inspected and rectified to prevent further occurrences and ensure proper functionality.
