I stayed solo for three nights, having booked a standard terrace-view apartment, and was delighted to be upgraded to a one-bedroom ocean-view suite. The hotel was peaceful, with lovely facilities, a beautiful pool and a great breakfast buffet selection. Watching thunderstorms over the ocean from my suite was a particular highlight. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, although the sheer number of greetings sometimes felt a little overwhelming! I spent almost my entire stay at the resort, venturing out only once, as I personally didn’t feel particularly safe in the surrounding area. Some apartments remained boarded up, which I understood was due to damage from Typhoon Odette in 2021. Overall, it was a relaxing stay, made especially enjoyable by the staff and the lovely suite.

While there are a few minor areas where the resort itself could use some improvements, the impeccable service from the staff completely compensates for it and makes this a true 10 overall experience. The team throughout the entire resort is highly commendable. A special shoutout goes to RJ and also Caryl from the Executive Lounge for their outstanding hospitality so far. They have both made my stay incredibly comfortable and seamless. The staff here truly are the heart of the resort. Highly recommended for their top-tier service!

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Mövenpick Mactan Cebu. We were kindly offered a room upgrade to a family suite with two bedrooms giving us plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our stay. The buffet breakfast had so many options, it kept the kids and adults satisfied all week with endless food combinations. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful giving us advice on day tour options, local restaurants and local services such as where to get a haircut or get our laundry done. The kids enjoyed the pool and private beachfront, however unfortunately the Ibiza beach bar was closed for renovations. Overall it’s was a wonderful stay and we would recommend to our friends and family.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Mövenpick, but I noticed several areas that could be improved to make the guest experience more comfortable and convenient. Parking Area – The passageway leading to the parking area is quite narrow and the parking area itself is very dark. It gives the impression of an unfinished or poorly maintained space, with what appears to be a storage/bodega area. There were also insufficient signs, making it difficult to navigate. Improving the lighting, cleanliness, appearance, and directional signage would greatly improve the first impression of the hotel. Bathroom Bidet – The absence of a bidet was inconvenient. Providing one would be a significant improvement, especially for guests who are accustomed to having this facility. Directions to Guest Rooms – There were no clear signs or directions from the elevator indicating where the guest rooms are located. Guests unfamiliar with the layout may easily become confused or have difficulty finding their rooms. Additional directional signs would be helpful. Chocolate Buffet Labels – The items at the chocolate buffet did not have labels. Providing names or descriptions for each item would help guests know what they are choosing, particularly for those with dietary restrictions or allergies. Bathroom Ventilation – The bathroom had inadequate ventilation, which made the space feel humid and uncomfortable. Improving the ventilation system would make the bathroom experience much more pleasant.

We had a pleasant stay at Mövenpick Mactan. The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights. Compared with other Accor properties in Manila and Boracay, the selection was plentiful without being overwhelming, with a good variety of choices. We also really enjoyed the gym. It was spacious and well-equipped, with a complete range of equipment, which was a nice plus during our stay. The overall dining options in the hotel were a bit limited, though. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the bathroom felt a little outdated and did not have a bidet. The TV was also quite small for the size of the room. The team members were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the spacious facilities, good breakfast selection, well-equipped gym, and warm service.

Room was okay, but there was an old/moldy smell right when we ooened the door. The staffs are very well mannered. I noticed some poo stains on a couch in lobby area, not sure if it was from the birds or from lizard, regardless it should be monitored and maintained clean and disinfected since it is used by many.

This hotel itself is one of the better maintained resorts on Mactan Island, Cebu. But what really sets it apart from all the others is the superior customer service and respect which is readily observed from virtually all staff members. That aspect of your stay simply has to be experienced to be believed in a world which routinely delegates such services to AI, robots, or worse yet, people who act like robots. I don’t know who is responsible for recruiting and training the staff at Movenpick, they sure are good at their job.

Stayed at the Movenpick Cebu for one night. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the rooms are extremely old, tired and dated. The rooms definitely need a revamp as they're not really the Accor standard that you'd expect.

One night stay because family and friends were staying there prior to a wedding. The room had a king size bed but was rather unremarkable. The overall hotel and facilities were nice, the staff was nice, but the room was clean but just average size, not couch or charirs for sitting, I didn't think it lived up the the 5 star rating or the price.
