Our stay at Mövenpick Cebu was truly unforgettable, even with the unexpected challenge of a typhoon during our visit. Despite the difficult weather, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were safe, comfortable, and well taken care of the entire time. A very special thank you to Jerry and Simon, who were incredibly attentive and reassuring throughout our stay. Jerry, in particular, was just outstanding — he made sure we were okay at every moment, ensured we had meals, checked in on us personally, and offered such a warm and genuine welcome from the moment we arrived until the time we left. His care and dedication really stood out and made a huge difference. We’d also love to give a shoutout to the restaurant team, especially Justine and Aden. Their service was impeccable, their smiles never faded, and they managed to make each meal feel special despite the weather conditions. We are deeply thankful to everyone at Mövenpick Cebu for their hospitality, warmth, and professionalism. What could have been a stressful experience turned into a memorable and heartwarming stay thanks to all of you. We’ll definitely be back!

We recently stayed here for a family wedding, having previously enjoyed an excellent experience at the Mövenpick in Boracay, which set a high expectation for this resort. The single most outstanding aspect of our stay was the staff. Every member was extremely attentive, genuinely polite, and consistently courteous, embodying the very best of five-star service and Filipino hospitality. Their commitment to guest satisfaction is truly commendable and is the only element operating at a world-class standard. Unfortunately, the quality of the facilities failed to match the service and the standards expected of an Accor property. While our room was well-maintained, the rest of the resort feels significantly tired and neglected: The main swimming pool is in urgent need of repair, notably featuring two holes in the floor. The beachfront façade exhibits substantial cracking paint and visible rust. The Ibiza beach bar was unexpectedly closed for renovation upon our arrival—an essential detail that should have been communicated in advance. The Spa showed obvious signs of poor upkeep, including paint peeling from the walls. The main Games area was also visibly deteriorating, with a clear hole in the roof above the pool table. These critical maintenance issues detract significantly from the overall guest experience and represent a failure to deliver the standard of a five-star resort. In conclusion, while the staff were phenomenal, the state of the facilities was deeply disappointing. We will be reluctant to book a return visit unless we receive assurances that a comprehensive modernisation and improvement programme has been completed.
