The hotel is great, amazing amenities, location. But I was a little put off with my laundry charge despite confirming with an agent on the phone about the cost only to find out I was charged 66 euros to wash 5 pairs of socks and underwear.

Excellent service, quality and facilities however very disappointed that the spa was closed for the whole week and no compensation offered. Website says adult only pools but there were noisy children playing in the main pool and when I queried this with a member of staff they said that there were no restrictions on pool use. Also, on one day there were very noisy people using the pool and using foul language but staff did nothing about it.

We overall had a lovely stay but felt the hotel had been advertised as a 5 star hotel. It lack a lot of the little personal touches and didn’t find the services overly efficient.
For example some days our room would not be clean until late afternoon/early evening.
The rooms needed some love, there were mis match chairs to the table, the travel cot had multiple scratches and chips. The curtains were hanging off the rail and the silver cover for the shower was hanging off.
We also would some days get 2 bottles of water and others 3 which made us feel it wasn’t consistent. We used the milk but then wouldn’t get given any more, but then a couple of days before leaving we did.
Aside from the room we also had to ask for drinks on a couple of occasions at breakfast.
The issue continued during the day were at one stage, after 45 minutes had past we had to chase our drinks order up at the pool bar to be told they had forgotten.
Typically we would usually let a couple of these things slide but it seems to many issues to not have affected our experience.
A top of this, we were advised a week before arriving the spa was closed and no treatments could be provided. Whilst we understand this can happen it was disappointing considering it’s a golf & spa resort. Had everything else been perfect we wouldn’t have minded but when we take everything into considering it’s also a major factor to why it’s not a 5 star.

Loved this hotel … used the courtesy bus for trips to Villamoura which was very well managed …but to be honest staying pool side was just perfect … good staff … great views of the golf course … I would return !

I had asked for a specific room and was pleased to be given my preference. The room was extremely clean and all staff were friendly and helpful. The suite was cleaned daily to a high standard. Impressive breakfast with incredible choice. There are some signs of aging across some parts of the hotel but this did not take away from a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel describes itself as a golf resort and spa. I don’t play golf but I like a spa. However when I check in and I ask about the spa they tell me it’s closed. No explanation or apology. I hear while I am there that the hotel is closing soon for refurbishment. It’s tired and under maintained. The gym was poor. The staff are decent but I have been overcharged for what I received and will be taking the issues up with the management.

We have stayed at this hotel since the opening of Tivoli Victoria then Anantara and now Accor, the hotel under Accor is over priced, run down in an awful manner, staff without permission putting tips on your bill all day long, service is bad as most staff are contracted and not employees, food is well below average, the spa was closed due to “technical problems “, it’s just an overall bad experience, will not return under Accor but staff informed that it’s closing end of September and sold the operation to Fairmont, hopefully under Fairmont it will regain its standard as a five star, right now it’s a three star at five star prices. This experience has made sure I’ll never stay at any Accor in the future.

we used the hotel as a 10 night base whilst in Vilamoura for our Sons wedding. The remote location suited us for this trip as we were able to completely switch off and relax away from the centre, but be able to get there relatively easily by uber.
