We spent a few days with my family (a couple with a baby, plus one adult) at Victoria Golf resort. The hotel is nice, gigantic could be used, but not in a negative way. The bedrooms are spacious - even for a couple with an infant - and clean! Ahead of our arrival we requested a crib in the room and it was there upon our check-in. Before booking we read a few bad reviews mentioning that the hotel and some facilities are dated. I would say this is an overstatement. Yes the hotel is not brand new, but it’s well-maintained. It might need some paint touch-ups here and there but nothing extraordinary. We had an issue on our first night with the A/C not working in one of our rooms, but this was solved promptly the next morning (maintenance wasn’t on call late at night). We pestered people at reception to sort this out and they did their best. This is where this hotel shines in my opinion. The staff! I have not had a chat with everyone of course. But I know for a fact that some of the employees I talked to are working there full-time, others are here for the summer season. But regardless of if they’ve been there for a while or just for a couple of weeks, they all tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We read that the hotel is kid-friendly and I can confirm it is. We saw several families during our stay, with kids of all age. I can’t say what the staff was like with other kids but they were very accommodating, lovely and kind with our little one. I would definitely recommend staying there, even if it’s just to relax by the pools or enjoy a few cocktails from the different bars.

Resort was in a good location and very peaceful but the shuttle bus service needs to start earlier in the day. The room was as described and had everything we wanted. There was a really good choice of food for breakfast and the food in the RIA restaurant was excellent - one of the best meals we have ever had. There was also a good choice of food in the lounge bar and pool restaurant both of which we frequented. The service provided by all staff was exceptional, they were all very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this resort.
