Place needs a spruce up starting to look tired. I have stayed there for the last 5 years location good, service was great but the building itself needs a little love to bring it up to a higher standard,

Short 3 night stay but was perfectly enjoyable with friendly and helpful staff. Only had the breakfast which was always fresh and plentiful. Will defo be back, a steal at the price for this time of year.

I continue to come to this hotel mainly because I know the staff well. They have always been professional, welcoming, and committed, and they are clearly trying to do their best despite the current situation. Since the change of ownership, however, the direction taken by management is difficult to understand. There seems to be a strong focus on visible cost-cutting and on changing things simply for the sake of change, as if management is determined to reinvent processes that likely worked perfectly well before. At the same time, staff appear to be left in an uncertain position about the future. This uncertainty is noticeable and inevitably affects the atmosphere and the quality of interaction with guests. To be clear: the main reason I still come is the people working here, not the current management approach. Without them, there would be little reason to return given the direction the hotel seems to be taking. And considering the current trajectory, one can only hope that prices will not increase while the overall experience continues to decline.
