I stayed here for almost a week last year and recently returned for another extended stay. Once again, I had a very enjoyable experience. The hotel only opened in 2024, so everything still feels fresh, modern and very well maintained. What stands out most is the service. From the operators and front desk team to the restaurant staff and housekeeping, everyone genuinely seems to care about the guest experience. In today’s environment, that level of service is becoming increasingly rare. The Chinese restaurant continues to impress. The food is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and consistently high quality. Definitely worth trying. The location is also very convenient. Hanyang’s main attractions are nearby, Hankou is only a short drive away, and with the newly opened metro line, Wuchang is now even easier to reach. We mostly used taxis and found getting around very easy. If you enjoy local food and late-night street food culture, you’re in for a treat. After 5pm, simply walk out of the hotel and turn right. The area is packed with restaurants, food stalls and night markets stretching for blocks, offering endless local dishes to explore. The rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and well equipped. The Dyson hairdryer was a nice touch, but most importantly, the bed is very comfortable and the room is quiet,making it easy to get a great night’s sleep. A special thank you to Moon at the front desk. Her warm smile and thoughtful service made every interaction a pleasure. Thanks also to Mr Chen and Lena for their excellent assistance. I’d also like to thank Mr. You , Zhang Tong , Abby from the restaurant for the friendly, professional and attentive service throughout our stay.Housekeeping staff did great job as well , making our room sparkling crystal clean . Despite the challenges many hotels face today, Grand Mercure Hanyang continues to maintain a high service standard. Credit to the entire team for their hard work. We look forward to returning again in the future.

It’s a rather nice formal but rather icy feel service, except for Zoe (front desk manager) being very comforting assuring responsive services, and 1st late night front desk checkin. Breakfast meals are simple - mostly tasty. Been to quite a few grand mercure hotels - guess more trainings on responsive customers services can be further enhance (a bit more welcoming smile and responsive in handling requests).

1.Newly opened hotel. Great facilities. No doubt to choose if not minding the location. Room more spacious than Hankou Grand Mercure. 2.Cleanliness: Lobby, lift, restaurant, room — all well cleaned and maintained. Housekeeping amazing. Room spotlessly clean. 3.Food: Breakfast overall good. Could be better with more variety. Buffet on Fri. and Sat. Could give it a go if you are fond of it. Some of the cakes served in afternoon tea are just what we liked. 4. Loyalty member benefits: Highlight. For Platinum member, Welcome drink in minibar (1st night), welcome fruit, room upgrade, late check-out, afternoon tea, happy hour served in room — 4-course set A or B per person daily. Unbelievably tasty. Totally impressed. Staff: Most friendly and responsive. Eric (dining team) welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Wu at reception (Olive) for hospitality, helped move heavy luggage into car. Thank you Mia — beautiful voice, thoughtful arrangement, went above and beyond.Other girls at reception are helpful as well. Overall pleasant stay. Would recommend and return for sure.It's never easy to manage a huge hotel like that while the competitors are all around in this area. let's give them more support .
