Pullman Chongqing Xiyue 5 stars

The staff were very welcoming from the start, and on top of my room upgrade, they offered free daily buffet breakfast to me as a Gold member, which I learnt is a service often given in China hotels. We just had to pay 80 yuan each time for my companion - very worth the price considering the spread. The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the Chongqing North main station, which was just 10min walking distance away. Excellent location if you're looking to travel between cities on the high speed rail, otherwise travelling to the main Chongqing city does take a bit of time. I used the Meituan app to order dinner in on some nights, and a staff member had kindly provided a contact number as it required a local number to register. The food was delivered to the door by a smart robot. Upon checkout, the staff had even helped us pull our luggages all the way to the start of the underpass towards the train station. Thank you very much Pullman Chongqing Xiyue for a lovely stay!

Overall, our stay was very pleasant. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. However, I would like to offer a constructive suggestion regarding the housekeeping service. On the second day of our stay, we hung the 'Do Not Disturb' signage on our door to indicate that we did not want our room cleaned at that time, and we went to have breakfast. Unfortunately, our room was cleaned despite the signage. When we reported this to the hotel, the staff acknowledged the issue and promised to remind their team to pay attention to the signage. Unfortunately, the same situation occurred on the fourth day of our stay. When we reported it again, the staff member suggested that we use the room preference button instead of the signage. This prompted me to ask: if the button is the preferred method, why does the hotel provide the signage? My Suggestion: I recommend that the hotel remove the 'Do Not Disturb' signage and instead clearly instruct guests to use the room preference button to indicate their housekeeping preferences. This approach would: • Eliminate confusion - Guests and staff would use a single, consistent system • Improve efficiency - The button system is more reliable than physical signage • Support sustainability - Removing paper signage reduces waste and supports environmental protection Overall, the hotel provides good service, and this small change would enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency.

Nice and friendly staff. The cleaning lady was so sweet and kind. I’ll definitely comeback to this hotel when I visit Chongqing again.

I had reminded the hotel several times that I was planning to visit for a honeymoon but no arrangements were made.

Positives: Very friendly staff, great property, good room, good amenities, good breakfast Negatives: The room temperature was too high. I could not change it even though I dropped it down on the regulator.
