We travelled as a family with two children and had a very comfortable stay. The rooms are large and the hotel overall is beautifully designed. I particularly liked the Colibri Clock in the main hallway. Most of the personnel we interacted with were also very nice.

The hotel is beautifully designed, and the quality of the finishes is excellent. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by a few organizational issues that I believe could be improved.
When we checked in, we were given a key card with the room number handwritten on it. Our room was 309, but the handwriting was unclear and appeared to say 303. We therefore went to room 303, located directly opposite ours, and were very surprised to discover that our key card was able to open that room as well. The room was clearly occupied, with many personal belongings inside. We immediately reported the situation to reception, as this raised an important concern regarding guest privacy and security.
The following morning, we also had to wait for around 10 minutes while the staff checked our breakfast reservation, as their system showed that breakfast was not included, although we had already paid for it.
Overall, the hotel itself is impressive and has a lot of potential. With better attention to organization and guest security, the overall experience could be significantly improved.

From the moment of arrival and the greeting and welcome at the reception (Alexandra and Adina) desk to movement throughout the building with greetings from staff (Andrei) to the restaurant breakfast staff and onto the departure wish from the manager training a new employee, every measure of service and staff contact was above and beyond! The new Mercure hotel is truly beautiful, but they need some better attention to details. The room is spacious and well furnished, but we encountered quite the issue when taking a shower: the water would not leave the shower, and then the water flow completely stopped. Turned out the drain was obturated by a piece of plastic that looked like it should have been removed once the plumbing was installed. The bathroom flooded, which in turn cut off our water source completely.
It was not at all pleasant to leave the room in search for answers at 2 am for this issue, and unfortunately it left an unpleasant mark on the stay.

We fully understand how unpleasant and concerning it must have been to experience flooding and an interruption to the water supply during the night. The water was automatically shut off by the room’s safety system when excess water was detected, to prevent further damage. Nevertheless, regardless of the technical cause, this should not have occurred and we deeply regret that the situation was not resolved promptly, particularly at such a late hour.
Following your feedback, we reviewed the matter with our technical and operational teams and reinforced our room inspection procedures, with particular attention to bathroom fittings and drainage systems. Your comments are extremely valuable as we continue to fine-tune every detail of our newly opened hotel.
