Here’s a rewritten version of your comment: --- The hotel is new and beautifully decorated. I'm thrilled that Accor has opened this hot spring hotel in Japan, allowing us to experience the Japan’s premium service. As a platinum member of Accor, I appreciate how attentive the hotel is to member services; they proactively reserved tables for me for both dinner and breakfast. When I arrived at the restaurant and provided my room number, I was able to skip the queue and enjoy my meals right away at the reserved tables. Regarding the hot spring, I found it a bit small, and the temperature wasn't quite hot enough. I would love to see the temperature maintained at 39 degrees Celsius or higher. Additionally, I suggest that the changing rooms provide towels instead of requiring guests to bring their own from their rooms. Overall, this was a wonderful stay in Japan, and I look forward to exploring more Accor resorts in Japan in the near future.

Mr.Chuen Thank you very much for staying at our hotel. We would also like to thank you for choosing our hotel as your ACO Platinum member. We are very pleased to read that you enjoyed the new hotel design and the premium service that can only be found in Japan. We are also honored to hear that you were satisfied with our restaurant and how smoothly you were shown to your table. On the other hand, thank you very much for your valuable comments regarding the size and temperature of the spa facilities. We will consider making adjustments, especially with regard to temperature control, so that guests can use the facilities comfortably. We also take your suggestion regarding towels very seriously and will take it into consideration for future service improvements. We are most pleased to hear that your stay with us was wonderful. We hope that you will visit us again next time while enjoying other Accor resorts in Japan. Our entire staff looks forward to serving you. WEB Marketing development

Overall okay, good for kids, many areas for improvement

M. M. Families - Confirmed reviews ALL

A family of 6 including two children spent two nights over a long weekend in November. Intrigued by an Instagram posting, my family decided to spend the long weekend at the hotel, hoping the children would have a great time at the children's facility called 'M. no 8'. Our children had a lot of fun playing in the area in the morning, afternoon, and just before dinner. Understanding the fact the hotel has been renovated by a Japanese property manager, it appeared as if some floors, especially ours, are still in need of further renovation. Our check-in process was handled by one of the junior staff and she didn't quite understand what we were asking for as we wanted to stay closer to each other. We have two rooms booked, one on the 3rd floor where only the tatami rooms are available, and another on the 7th floor where it's fully renovated. We asked for another floor and the front desk staff ended up finding one that's on the 2nd floor but it was not a renovated room and the condition was quite poor, to be honest. Many areas for improvement and will mention in the further comments section. Definitely a visit for a family with kids but not too sure whether we would visit again in the future.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We are glad to hear that your children enjoyed their time at the children's facility "M. no 8" and had fun during your stay. We understand how important it is to create a memorable experience for families, and we’re pleased to know that aspect of your visit was enjoyable. However, we also deeply apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay, particularly with the condition of the room and the check-in process. We regret that your assigned room did not meet expectations. In addition, we are sorry to hear that the room condition on the 2nd floor did not meet your standards. We understand that the quality of the rooms is a key factor in a comfortable stay, and we are working hard to address these areas that need attention. Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to have the chance to welcome you back under better circumstances. Sincerely yours, Grand Mercure Yatsugatake Resort & Spa

Proposals for Improving Hotel and Restaurant Reservation Systems

Customer review rating 3.0/5

Anonymous M. I. H. 4. Families - Confirmed reviews ALL

Our group of 11, including 3 children and 8 adults, had a wonderful stay at your facility. The children’s play area, "Mori no 8," was a huge hit with the kids, who were perfectly engaged with the equipment's just-right difficulty level. Thanks to parents' attentiveness, there were few serious rule violations. The food was delicious, and our elderly guests enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. However, I would like to suggest a few improvements. First, regarding the reservation system, the concept of an all-inclusive stay seems inconsistent with the option to choose separate breakfast and dinner plans. Upon arrival, we were informed that our dinner reservation had not been made and would incur an additional fee. When we mentioned this, we were disappointed to hear that the company's non-Japanese ownership prevented them from implementing our suggestions. I would appreciate it if the reservation system could be made more user-friendly, perhaps by consolidating all meals into a single, inclusive plan. Additionally, I would like to request a reservation system for meals. The current wait to enter the dining area is discouraging, as guests are uncertain whether they should join the line. A system that allocates specific time slots and party sizes upon booking or check-i. would allow guests to enjoy their meals without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by crowds. Thank you for considering these suggestions.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are delighted to hear that your group of 11, including the children, had a wonderful stay and that "Mori no 8" was such a hit! It's great to know the kids were engaged and enjoying themselves, while the food and atmosphere catered well to all ages. We apologize for the confusion about the all-inclusive explanation. The plan with dinner and breakfast is an all-inclusive plan, the plan with breakfast does not include dinner, and the overnight plan without meals does not include meals. I'm very sorry that it was difficult to understand that point. Thank you once again for your valuable input. We hope to welcome you and your group back i. the future, where we aim to provide an even better experience. Sincerely yours, Grand Mercure Yatsugatake Resort &Spa
