Spent 4 nights in room 1140. Was very spacious and comfortable. The only thing that was a little uncomfortable was every time I used the elevator button or opening my room door, I’d get zapped by static electricity lol. Not sure why.

Our stay at Mercure Nagano was overall pleasant. Have to highlight the breakfast and dinner buffets are amazing. Furnishings in the hotel are however rather dated. I was upgraded to a corner room, it was very spacious but looks old fashioned. The view from room more than made up for it. In a distance was the snow capped mountainous range, the sight was very beautiful. Other than the onsite onsen, there was nothing else to do. They provided afternoon social hour with drinks but limited snacks. In the evening night cap starts at 9 pm at the lounge with generous choices of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Location wise it is not ideal if you are not driving. Some 20mins from Nagano city center. Next to hotel are 2 supermarkets on either side, a short walk of 10 min away there are a few restaurants.
