Good location and rooms for a one-night trip with 8 friends, and prices were affordable. We enjoyed drinks till the lounge closed (23:00). Meals were not our primary objective, but if the restaurant and big bath could be better; the restaurant was crowded, and it was difficult to find a table for 8, also the chairs were too heavy for buffet-style meals (for standing up and sitting down many times..) Regarding the big bath, only a few hair-dryers are available; have to queue for it. Fortunately, there is a dryer in the room, so we used it instead. For ladies' big bath, we don't need chairs, but it's better to have more hair-drying stands or make-up stands.

As an accor gold member, i am entitled to an automatic room upgrade. When i asked about it, i was rejected by the staff citing full occupancy. When i pressed further, then he told me i can have an upgrade. The breakfast and lounge are super crowded and everyone was rushing for the food. I had a hard time looking for an empty table at breakfast.

I had a very good overall experience at Grand Mercure Ise-shima Resort & Spa. The room was comfortable, spacious, and well-suited for a family stay, making it easy to relax throughout our visit. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were enjoyable, offering a wide variety of dishes to choose from, so everyone could find something they liked. The quality and selection were definitely highlights of the stay. The only downside was that the hotel felt quite crowded during our visit.
