We have stayed at Vanagupė Hotel many times before, but since it was taken over by the new management, “Mercury,” the quality has dropped dramatically. The hotel has clearly lost its 5-star standards. There is no longer any service in the SPA area, which used to be one of the main reasons to choose this hotel. Breakfast is very poor — food is cold, the selection is extremely limited, and overall quality is disappointing. The minibar has been removed completely, and even basic bathroom amenities are provided only if you specifically ask for them. This hotel can no longer be considered a 5-star property. At best, it deserves 3 stars, and even that is questionable.

We truly value returning guests and are sorry to hear that your recent experience did not meet your expectations. Since joining an international hotel network, we are required to comply with strict safety and hygiene regulations. For this reason, food and beverages can no longer be served in the SPA area unless there is a designated and certified catering zone, which unfortunately is not available in that space. Regarding in-room amenities, as part of our sustainability commitment, bathroom amenities are provided upon request to reduce unnecessary waste. The minibar has not been removed — it is stocked based on guest preference and can be arranged at any time by contacting reception. Breakfast is usually one of our strongest points, and we regret that on this occasion it did not meet your expectations. Your comments have been shared with our food and beverage team for further review and improvement. We appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us continue to improve our services, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide a better experience in the future.
