It was a pleasure to stay at Mercure Baku, enjoyed the stay, would have been great if we could have had a late check out so we could be there a little longer. Love the locality around lots to do just a few mins walk from Mercure and most tourist locations also just a few mins ride in a cab. Love the place and would recommend it to anyone.

Mercure Baku classifies itself as a 5 star property but it doesn’t act that way. While the location and amenities are decent, the service aspect is seriously lacking. The front staff was unwelcoming and rather cold, the room had a broken curtain pin, house keeping issues like removing old bathrobes and towels but not replacing them with new ones (we didn’t actually request replacement), being super stingy with water and toiletries/dental/hygiene kits (there were none in the bathroom)and having to request for water multiple times. I even saw garbage bags left unattended near the lift. I don’t expect flawless service everytime and everywhere but such small annoyances add up and are not expected out a hotel that calls itself a 5 star. I would not be recommending this hotel. Please take your 5 stars seriously as guests put a lot of importance to the stars you rate yourself as.

Located in the centre, clean, staff are very friendly and nice. Breakfast is excellent.
