It was a very disappointing experience staying there. When I requested a prayer mat, the reception staff informed me that it could only be provided in the morning when housekeeping would be available. This was inconvenient and not the level of service expected. In addition, the room air conditioning was not working when we needed it, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Furthermore, the welcome drink options included coffee, juices, soft drinks, and even alcoholic beverages. However, when I asked for a Red Bull, I was told it was not included. This was quite surprising, especially when more expensive alcoholic drinks were being offered. It did not make sense why a Red Bull could not be provided instead. Overall, it was an unacceptable experience.

I am providing this feedback regarding my extended stay at Ibis Baku City from 19 December 2025 to 17 January 2026. During my stay, the hotel failed to complete my mandatory immigration registration, despite my repeated requests and verbal confirmation from staff that it had been done. This registration is a legal obligation of the hotel for foreign guests under Azerbaijani regulations. I only became aware of this failure at exit immigration, where I was required to pay an administrative fine of 351 AZN. The hotel later acknowledged in writing that this failure was entirely their responsibility. What has been most disappointing is the handling of the issue afterward. Communication has been slow and inconsistent, calls often go unanswered, and the proposed resolutions have been unclear and conditional. This is not consistent with the service and accountability standards I expect from the Accor brand. This incident caused me significant stress, humiliation at immigration, and ongoing anxiety regarding my future international travel and visa history, despite no fault on my part. To resolve this matter fully and fairly, I am seeking: • Unconditional reimbursement of the 351 AZN fine • Compensation of USD 3,000 reflecting the mental distress and prolonged stress caused • An official letter on Accor/Ibis letterhead confirming that the immigration violation occurred solely due to hotel failure and not due to any fault or negligence on my part I believe this situation also warrants an internal review or inspection of the management and compliance practices at Ibis Baku City, as similar failures could seriously affect other international guests and Accor’s reputation. I am requesting senior review and a concrete resolution.
