Was in Baku for two nights and the Ibis was the perfect base … taxis are so cheap and easy to get in Baku everywhere is just around the corner… the staff where lovely and the Ibis there while probably nearer the budget end of their offering was just perfect for our stay.

It was a very disappointing experience staying there. When I requested a prayer mat, the reception staff informed me that it could only be provided in the morning when housekeeping would be available. This was inconvenient and not the level of service expected. In addition, the room air conditioning was not working when we needed it, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Furthermore, the welcome drink options included coffee, juices, soft drinks, and even alcoholic beverages. However, when I asked for a Red Bull, I was told it was not included. This was quite surprising, especially when more expensive alcoholic drinks were being offered. It did not make sense why a Red Bull could not be provided instead. Overall, it was an unacceptable experience.
